Just ran across this review on Amazon. Would you guys who have played it agree with this guy's assessment?

Mostly yes, but story was good imo, ending was quite "wtf".

It's not a bad game really, but big disappointment compared to original FEAR or Extraction Point or to Perseus Mandate.

It took 9,9hours to finish that game (Steam Account says so) but I left game running for 1-2hours when doing something else.

So it's short, but so was Original FEAR.

Damn consoles!!! :biggun: :bang: :crapper: :rpg: :zap: :bash:

EDIT: And since this is activated at Steam, I'm not sure if I can sell this to anyone :(

That review pretty much hit the nail on the head. If you are/were a serious fear fan you will be disappointed. If you don't look at it through the fear prism, it's not bad.

Well that's a darn shame. I was really looking forward to this game but it seems that the despicable scourge of consolitis has ruined yet another promising title. :(

I'm just hoping that the new Riddick game isn't destroyed by that affliction also.

It's at Community / View My Profile (or My Control Panel).

There are game play stats at right.

Initially guys I wasn't very impressed, mostly because of the "Film Grain" effect but I quickly stopped noticing it and starting to really enjoy the game and the story! In fact I think it was a great game that got better and better as the story progressed. The graphics were very decent and once I stopped noticing the "Film Grain" effect I started to notice the great level design.

My favorite part in the game was while being in Wade Elementary school (and I'll try not to give any of the game up), there was a section that scared the "you know what" out of me! Although the hair on the back of my neck has stood up a few times before this point, my whole body was covered in goose bumps during this section and I almost shut the game down (to re-try that section during the day), lol!

I thought the level design got better and better towards the end of the game, which is about the time I started to get a good handle on the story as well. It wasn't all good however, besides the graphic effects that couldn't be disabled the game was very short. Thankfully I get the feeling this might not be the last FEAR game was see in the future!
