Microsoft (DOUBLE CROSS US PC GAMERS)

Hello there guys,

After reading this, some of you might think why I am posting this but I need some place to speak my feelings, right ?

Who else think that buying Windows 7 is just like wasting money on b*llsh*t because now Microsoft just pay more and more attention on JUNKBOX 360 (I mean XBOX 360), it treats us PC Gamers like second class gamers. All AAA titles first release on 360 and then they make their way to PC after long time (but you cannot even guarantee every game to come on PC, right ? because its Microsoft's wish).

Some of the great titles are not released on PC because of Microsoft, examples are Halo 3, Fable 2, Gears of War 2. And the latest denial from from Lionhead about Fable 2 not in development for PC is further disappointment.

What should I do with DirectX 11 (crap) if there are no games for it. I know there are other great developers out there who support us PC Gamers by making games for PC platform but what I am trying to say is that I am fad up from this double policy of Microsoft that it is making money on its crap OS from us PC Gamers (Promising about new technologies like DirectX 11 and performance enhancements) while mainly supporting console market for XBOX 360 domination.

And what Microsoft is doing in PC Gaming Alliance ? Trying to show that it is actually boosting PC Gaming market while in actual it is Microsoft who caused PC Market's downfall.

I am not paying money for that crap OS (Windows 7) just to see its fluffy graphics and nothing else to do.

Who else agrees with my thinking ?

 

IMO Piracy has caused PC Game Market's downfall.

Piracy is one thing but you cannot blame each and every PC Gamer for piracy, Good PC Games have always high sale rates like The Witcher, Mass Effect, FarCry 2.

Not releasing game on PC means you are indirectly blaming each and every PC Gamer for piracy and this is no solution.

 

I agree 100% Very well said. The OP is lost in his land of being mad and not seeing the full picture. Gaming on the PC has always been great for me, I am in no way hurt, mad, upset etc that the consoles get games the PCs do not. If I want a game bad enough, I will buy whatever platform it comes out for. I bought a Wii for the new Mario Kart, and yeah it was worth it. I am still on the fence about the xbox360, I like how it has a netflix app, but I am not sure I will put much use into it as I mainly game on my PC.(And before you say GOW is awesome, I do not care for it)

So, my rambling will stop now. Each platform has good and bad points. PC is more expensive normally, PS3 has blu-ray, xbox360 has a butt load of games. Wii is dammed fun. So pick what you want, but to the OP do not complain when a game comes out for something you do not have. That is life, deal with it.

 

I think I am not blaming you for DOUBLE CROSSING US PC GAMERS. I am blaming Microsoft so no need to get out of your clothes. I am not crying for games okay. If they want to make console exclusives then do it from the beginning not from the middle.

If they make Gears of War 1 console exclusive I have no problem.

If they make Fable TLC console exclusive I have no problem.

But first releasing it to PC and then making is console exclusive makes no sense.

 

i bet there is just as many pirated games for the xbox360 as there is for the pc everyone of my mates have there xboxs flashed to play copies,

 

Ohhh I think Halo 3 coming to pc so is Gear 2 and fable 2. You might have to wait a while. While you wait and cry here for the PC verion, go do some porn surfing, movie watching, and play a little CSS or some other great PC title. No need to rush to give them your money...:whip:

 

The entire point of the newer versions of DX is to unify the designs behind like video cards and stuff. Microsoft wants a write once run on 360 and PC development platform. Currently it costs lots of money to develop a game for both the 360 and PC, which is why you see ****ty ports. In the future, once DX9 is phased out completely, and maybe when the new xbox is released.. you'll see the same games for 360 hit PC with pretty much flawless porting.

 

The only game on your list of crappy games that I wish was on the PC is Fable 2.

Yeah I know its life and I deal with it very well. I have 360 and PS3 as well in home and the games I mentioned are also present but they are for my brothers. I am a PC Gamer so I never touch consoles. Whether you like it or not its my way.

 

I agree with you but it is M$ tactics they want 360 to do well and have some exclusive games. Probably in near future they will port those titles to PC too. PC guys can be happy because I think it is easy to port games from 360 to PC and of course with better textures, aa, af on gamging rigs :3eyes:

There is no need to be mad about it, M$ want to promote 360 ... however you should be little disappointed that no PS3 games will ever come to PC :nerd:

Funny, I was just thinking the other day that PC gaming is better than ever.

Powerful, appropriate video cards are widely available. Overclocking cheaper CPU's to stack up with the latest and greatest is an extremely viable and common solution.

PC games are almost always cheaper than console games at first, usually $50 or $40.

World of Warcraft is driving MMO competition, forcing other developers to make the best possible games (Lotr online, WAR, Guild Wars, etc.).

There have always been console exclusives, the console has always been on par graphically than the best pc at launch, and the pc always overtakes the console technologically.

M$ would be stupid to not give their consoles exclusives. Xbox Live, RRoD and blu-ray functionality aside, the PS3 and 360 are pretty damn similar in terms of capability (just check any bloody graphics comparison...). M$ NEEDS awesome exclusives for their box.

The only thing that's changed, in my opinion, is piracy. You can't tell me the volume of piracy hasn't changed. You can't tell me more people aren't pirating now than ever.
