No Geforce 181.22 is more stable with Mirror's Edge, and also Fallout 3, and
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, you need to read and test them yourself.

    Fixed Issues–Windows Vista 32-bit

    Multi-GPU Issues
    • [SLI]: Fallout3–the game crashes in some game maps when played at high
resolutions (1440x900 or higher) and high settings. [500665]
    • [SLI], S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Benchmark–added an SLI profile for the
    application.[506981]
    • GeForce GTX 295: Occasionally, only one GPU is recognized as supporting CUDA
and PhysX after the system is rebooted. [506018]

    Fixed Issues–Windows Vista 64-bit

This driver is recommended for the optimal GPU PhysX experience in EA’s hot PC title Mirror’s Edge.

Yes, but perhaps new Fraps doesn't make 2d mode possible? installed it last week and today with this driver i see 3d mode stays.

    Currently my cards are 2d.

The flickering smoke issue, for me it was fixed by disabling soft smoke in the cfg file. Try it out, I doubt it is a Nvidia driver issue, as I have the issue on both my machines (ati/nvidia) if I dont use the disable softsmoke fix.

the 181.22 beta was supposed to improve Mirror's Edge experience, for me it did the exactly opposite, every pc is different so it's no surprise, but i didn't need to read anything because i tried the drivers myself and didn't like em.

the 181.20 whql gave me 0 problems in any games including the much discussed Fallout 3, played 2 hours straight no problem.

    my OS is WinXP 64.

i tried the new 181.22 whql and things are working perfectly now, card downclocks fine, games feel smoother than the 181.20 whql and Mirror's Edge fps is stable and dare i say better too.

somehow i doubt the new drivers are just WHQL, something was definitely changed, infact i'd say they're some of the best drivers to date, no fps increase but gameplay is much smoother in all the games i tried.

    keepers for me.

i recommend people to give them a try over the Beta. ;)

all of this was tested on my 2nd rig with an E8400/8800GTX/2gb ram/nforce 780i.

fc /b on the beta and whql nv4_mini.sys, nv4_disp.dll, etc. files shows "no differences encountered" so can save some time bothering with updating until the next beta. :)

GTA4 good fps but still like the beta bad IQ (shadows looks like they are lower res. i can see it clearly @ samsung40'' ) compared to 181.20 WHQL and still like the beta they don't show all the games i have.

after exiting some games my gtx260 doesnt downclock, same with 181.20, better that then the 180.48 bug where it would rarely downclock in games, and the only way to get 3d clocks would be to restart.

If it's working good for you then keep them because i have not seen any improvment upgrading to these driver but the 181.22 fixed my crashing problem with fallout III other than that like i said earlier i lost IQ with GTA IIII .
By the way that's a great overclock you have on the CPU is it stable?

Thank You Year, 181.22 Beta was giving me crappy FPS compared to 181.20WHQL in Mirror's Edge....My rig is completely different than yours but i will give the WHQL version a try...Hope it will fix the Mirror's Edge lighting flickering bug, pretty annoying.
