Yep, I signed up through the official beta page http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx and received one of those numbers as my own "personal" number.

The Windows Download Manager used for downloading the ISO is pretty nifty too.

As opposed to the pirated copies of Vista & XP we've been using? ;)

I'm just gonna install my 64-bit ISO from my already installed Windows 7 install onto my other hard disk. Apparently that works.

The build 7000 x85 pre-release is solid as a rock so should be good to finally go to 64-bit.

Got my X64 installed and running - using it right now! Works very well so far. I have noticed a few small things already while transferring files over from a backup. I can't find vista/7 drivers for my wireless card though...

Wow the more I use this, the more I like it! got my wireless working, and it is so responsive. I'm impressed for a beta, although I'm used to EA betas ... which suck...Looks like I'll be moving to a new OS finally

I have only 1 problem so far, my onboard Realtek sound is not doing 5.1 even after putting on Realtek Vista driver. My front left, subwoofer, and rear left are only speakers that work. Anyone know a fix for this?

I'm trying to like IE8, some tweaking i nearly got it similar to FF, but can someone tell me how to "restore previous site" after closing? so when i open again, all my tabs and sites are shown?
i'd also like to prevent anything from opening a site in a new window but do it in tab instead. i already have "open in tab" option set but some links force window anyway.

    any skins for it?

I tryed both x64 and x86 but the x86 version runs much much smoother!

Dunno why but feels like 2x as fast as the 64bit one :O

Had the same problem, the fix was to use the latest driver, the motherboard CD doesn't work.

That was the same one that didn't work.
Yeah I went back and checked, one of the links was fine, downloaded at my full (and pitiful) 1.2MB/s so it was done relatively fast... But I don't have any partitions or other hard drives I'm willing to install it on, I'm going to wipe my main drive, lol. I don't feel like doing that now, maybe tomorrow.

yea, on W7 now, seems good. (Although not altogether different from Vista) Even before i installed ATi drivers my FarCry 2 ran great DX10 even. Ram usage is lower than Vista, not like it matters to me anyway. Everything works flawlessly, except some programs like Google Chrome, which i miss :(.
