Today we have a test on the Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition processor. Anyone thinking Phenom X2 ? The product we are reviewing today is exactly that. AMD developed a new K10 dual-core processor based...

AMD doing its best, budget performance for now..

I was amazed by the overall performance when compared to the E8200.

very interesting, might just grab one of these rather than a p2 940 and save some money

i mean i havnt found a game my cpu wont run well enough for me to call 'unplayable', well maybe gta4..... but even crysis is fine on high with my crap card. i love the peace of mind that i can upgrade so cheaply and STILL see an improvement over what i have :D

Very interesting indeed :) I might be building my dad a new computer soon.... a 2.7ghz dual core that competes with the E8200, for that price? I think I've found him a CPU :p

Seems to be 80-90€ in Finland. Not bad.

    Include mobo which is sub 100€, 4gb 800mhz ddr2 is 50€, 9800gtx+ 175€
So total is about 400€. That's sweet deal :)

EDIT: Errrmmm...Hilbert, what's up with the Guru3D homepage? There are girls with my PC parts.

as a long time AMD fan i have to say that while Intel C2D/C2Q cpu lead the way especially the high end ones, AMD cpu are still great value for money and performance is quite good especially with the X2 7750 i think they're getting on the right track, christmas couldn't come any sooner to those on a tight budget.

Looks like a really solid dual core.

About the comments, in the conclusion, so what if Intel released this kind of performance last year? They didn't do it for this price. Hell, they released it last year and it isn't even 80 dollars now. And the majority of the PC population doesn't care about that kind of thing, they just want performance for dollars. This CPU is that.

    Woot-AMD vs INTEL
    :vader:

INTEL r quite lucky that these AMD dual-cores r launched so lately as opposed to the C2Ds-cuz intel wud have to lower their prices

But this is a good news for us consumers- cuz as the battle gets more intense=the more lower prices we v to give:D

You have to look at it in context. As mentioned in the conclusion, this is AMD's fastest dual core processor, but it's a year late. That's why Intel could keep the price so high on their own processor.

i read in other websites reviews they couldnt boot into windows at anything past 3.2ghz, maybe the idea of 3.7ghz+ from this review is a pipedream :(

These should be as fast as the Phenom Quads and low end Intel Quads, in game, for half the price. Where could i get one? Like right now, right now.

eh? this is not the X4 45nm Athlons nor the X2 45nm Athlons, you're mixing two different things up lol (as i remember what you said in the Phenom 2 post)

These were supposed to be regular K10 Athlons at 65nm, no enhancements that 45nm or the "K10.5" enhancements that Phenom 2 has, so we still don't know if the 45nm Athlon X4's and X2's will have a performance increase per Mhz then the regular 65nm K10 Phenom's do

On another note.... i am baffled by the fact that there is no comparison in this review against a K8 either 65nm or 90nm Athlon at the same speeds, i really wish you would have done those tests :(

They said it was 15% faster than the older X2s at the same frequency. So its you calculate that...

Sweet! If the 65nms k10 processors can give this much performance under £80 then the 45nm phenom IIs are going to kick even more ass..Btw what would you say the performance loss be if I were to run this with only HT 2.0 ?
