Performance noticeably improved in most of the games I own, especially Far Cry 2. Apart from Guild Wars which causes the system to restart, annoying since I play it alot. Had to begrudgingly roll back to the WHQLs.

Got the card, tight fit but it went in OK and 2x6 pin power connected! Re-installed the 180.43's and now AA seems to work on Call of Juarez as I can set it to 8x! However, when I press ESC in game to pull up the menu the card emits a quiet but high pitched whining noise?

Card seems to run OK but not noticed a major improvement over the 7950 other than games feel smoother!

I put in a BFG 260 oc and noticed a difference and I had a 8800gtx before. Looks better and plays better....

Only games i've had issues with thus far are CoD5 singleplayer on the second stage, and fallout 3 will run great but randomly start flickering and slowing down once in a while. Getting SLI support for RA3 would be nice as well.

    You also mentioned this once:

Got the same problem, although the water prob is gone with the 1.1 patch, the game still freezes. The only way to run CoD5 without any crashes is to disable SLI for now in the nvidia control panel. Cod4 and crysis never gave me any problems, but beside CoD5, also FarCry2 crashed like hell. Actually FC2 was even worse, it didn't really crash, but got closed and "pop", back to my desktop.

So hopefully these SLI issues for CoD5 and FarCry2 will be fixed with the next driver.

At the moment using vista 64 ultimate and 2x8800ultra in sli.

    Grtz

It's starting to drive me insane how 90% of the posts on these forums are people having problems that use SLI or a different OS than xp32.

We need a disclaimer that says "SLI will never work properly, stop buying the dumb cards" then another one that says "Why did you install vista64 to play xp32 video games..."

If you had a faster CPU, you would notice a difference.

My SLI works just fine and I have no problem playing 32 games on my 64. In fact I bet if I were to dual boot xp 32 or vista 32 on my hdd I would not get any performance gain. Juts my opinion but my PC rips through games like butta!

i had probs with my gpu fan when i installed it, then i was getting driver crashes whilst playing FC2 and other games.

I could however adjust fan only in evga precision.. I`m running a inno3D 9800gtx Overclocked (factory settings 800/1836/2300)

think i`m just gonna wait til all the beta testing is over

    Why's that then? Explain? I already OC'd it to 3.0GHz from 2.8 :)

I tried Crysis patched to 1.2.1 and it throws that about on High settings and 16x AA with no problem, very playable at 1680x1050 whereas the 7950 just lagged like hell! So from the Crysis point of view the card is noticeably faster/smoother!

This has nothing to do with XP64 or SLI.

I have the exact same problems on XP32 as a lot of people have on Left 4 Dead. There are lots of topics about this on Steam Forums.

And this is related to the multicore CPU support. When you turn it off ingame, it works fine. But it's also related to the drivers, it's only happening with those.

with this beta release i cant use Asus Smart Doctor to set my gpu fan speed or use the built-in overclock features. Apart from that they work just fine with a few extra fps on CSS.
