    PLOT:

Fallout 3 takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States in the year 2277. The player character is a member of Vault 101, a fallout shelter serving Washington, D.C. The player character lives with his/her widower father (voiced by Liam Neeson) until, one day, the player wakes up finding that the father has left the vault and ventured into the wasteland for unknown reasons. The vault overseer becomes suspicious that the player had something to do with the father's disappearance, and the character decides to go out into the Capital Wasteland in search of him. Along the way, the player will encounter organizations seen in the previous games, including the Brotherhood of Steel, a group of technology-coveting survivors, and the Enclave, the elitist and genocidal remnant of the U.S. government.

Lol mate...I was going to put a thread about Fallout 3 a couple of days ago.

    Looks really great. Superb graphics.

I really want to get this game at launch. So I really hope there is no DRM issues. If so it may put me off it. :(

I read that only was on the Russian/Eastern European version. The version that will sell in "the west" uses the same protection as Oblivion: Knights of the Nine, which is a Securom check on install, ie harmless.

Only Securom on the version you'll purchase, I assume. Don't think they're stupid enough to use Starforce around here.

yee i posted something along this lines in the other thread :)

in the US starforce is banned (supposedly).

tbh even the DRM from EA was never a problem for me but if it's the plain Securom then that's even better.

guess i gotta wait till Friday till i get my copy and will report my experience, looks like a nice game, can't call those graphics superb but they're nice and crisp, they remind me of Assassin's Creed.

I have played this on xbox and it really is great game, lots of fun with the shooting system thats for sure :) And it doesn't suffer any kind of oblivion syndrome(well the 'Wait' screen is exact copy from oblivion) so can't wait to get the pc version.

if you want to hear from my mouth then i'll record an audio file for you........... jk

Starforce is one of the most problematic DRM to ever grace the pc, it causes your system to BSOD, your dvd drive to fail when playing dvds or burning Dvd-rs, sometimes it even annihilate the OS and you got to reinstall windows from scratch, it's very low level stuff compared to all other DRM.

word was that SF was even banned from the USA.

No online multiplayer, it is a single player game.
