wht is the performance difference with 180.42 or 180.43 in dx9 vs dx10? and image quality? screen shots anyone plz...?

Unpack the files and check your temp folder for them...just copy the physx setup file to your desktop and you now have a copy of it.

Assuming you have either Winzip or Winrar, right click on the file and select extract files, then extract to the desktop. Go into the folder and the physx setup file is in there.

IF YOU HAVE A 9800GX2, WIN VISTA 64, STAY WAY FROM THE 180.43 drivers. I barely got 15 fps whereas with the 180.42 I got over 30fps. In Far Cry 2 that is at 1920x1200 resolution. DX10 everything maxed.

 

Does anyone here have a modded .inf?? I need it for 8800m gtx sli

 

i tested Farcry2 with these settings:
Settings: Demo(Ranch Small), 1280x1024 (60Hz), D3D9, Fixed Time Step(No), Disable Artificial Intelligence(No), Full Screen, Anti-Aliasing(None), VSync(No), Overall Quality(Custom), Vegetation(Very High), Shading(Very High), Terrain(Very High), Geometry(Very High), Post FX(High), Texture(High), Shadow(High), Ambient(High), Hdr(Yes), Bloom(Yes), Fire(Very High), Physics(High), RealTrees(Very High)

and got this with 180.42

* Total Frames: 2116, Total Time: 51,02s
* Average Framerate: 41,47
* Max. Framerate: 61,99 (Frame:330, 6,45s)
* Min. Framerate: 31,52 (Frame:930, 20,61s)

it was the same with 180.43 i had even lower min framerate.. around 22fps, it looked like memory leak. I have it with current driver too if i ran the test more than 2 times, but its more obvious with 180.43, dunno maybe its just my gpu these 320bit 320mb gpus had some problems a while ago, i didnt see it much on my gpu but i noticed it sometimes with some drivers, anyway im sticking with 42 lol

 

Fedex should be dropping my copy today. Crossing fingers.

 

Hell no i will pass. 180.42 runs great here and maybe after week or somthing will another new driver so haha lol
