When EA announced another Need for Speed title. I also agree with Codemasters getting the F1 liscense, I can't imagine how amazing the game would be in the hands of Simbin.
Mad-Ogre: i'm sure we'll see GoW2 in due time. my worst gaming news.... So far i'd have to say.... when Starcraft: Ghost vanished off the face of the earth. I mean what the hell, Blizzard. We all know you have that cash cow known as WoW to milk for all eternity now.... but seriously.... Starcraft: Ghost was looking to be a rather promising game.
it was for xbox only and you had to play as a woman, no one likes that crap. except when you play perfect dark or somethin
actually at first it was planned for Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2. Only when it switched developers from Nihilistic Software to Swingin' Ape Studios was the Gamecube version cancelled.
I'll admit i downloaded the leaked game, and i'm damn glad i did, valve would be too, because if it wasn't for me to get a taste of what was to come, i would have never bought the game. The taste of the leak was so sweet, i could almost taste it, infact i may have tasted it. I was the first one to buy HL2 from the paticular store i got mine, i litterally got a copy handed to me from the employee that was stocking the shelves, he had to open the big brown box to take out a copy just for me. Because of the leak, valve spent alot more money and alot more time on the game and the engine, All developers want more time, but few have a reason for more, and end up rushing the end. Valve had a solid reason for the delays, which churned out a fantastic game. ^_^ even a few years old, I prefer the source engine over many other game engines available, it's just so well optomised. 200FPS+ in HL2: DM, i havent seen those speeds since the quake series.
My personal worst ever..... When EA bought the rights to the Nascar licence and Papyrus closed it's doors. You all may know Papyrus as the creators of Grand Prix Legends and Nascar Racing 2003. This was utterly devastating to all of us sim racers and was another example of EA using money to buy up licences and then coming out with assembly line games.
Ah yeah Carmageddon! Please someone make another! Carmageddon II Carpocalypse Now was my fav! TDR 2000 didn't really impress.
Creative Assembly are brilliant they release an amazing game then shortly afterwards they announce their next project which promises to be even better to keep us salivating for a few years haha. I could still blow an entire evening on Rome or Medieval II!
Well Dragon Age is talked about as being the spiritual Baldurs Gate 3. I dont know if it will be or not, we shall see.
