I think going full out ATI or Nvidia is kinda really stupid. You should pick the better card for YOU at the TIME YOU ARE BUYING. Don't make your decision on the maker.

I chose my 8800gt because I had a cheap stepup.

    God hates fanboys.

Well it's someones choice to be a fanboy if they want to, I am not one, however.

the fire is getting stoked should become a big open flame soon :flame:

I dont care about brand so much.

ATI because it keeps Nvidia's products prices down
Nvidia because ATI cheats by putting two chips on one card :flip2:

Right now there is no "wrong" choice. It's like Ford vs Chevy, or chocolate vs vanilla, blonde vs brunete, etc.

Pound for pound, Nvidia is still winning but the recent surge by ATI has done a LOT of good for pricing.

Im a poor PC gamer, so its whatever is the "best bang for the buck" that I can find on sale. I buy a new video card every year and I always look for the best one for $200 or below.
Before I switched from my 2600XT, I hated my 9600GT at first because of fan issues, heat and drivers, but now I actually say that its a pretty daym good card for the money. I was amazed even more when I put it in my newer (faster) system and the frames just kept goin higher and I honestly didnt think this card was capable.
But unfortunetly my next card will be an ATI.

I played a South Park game where it was like an endless turkey fight coming at ya. Then you got to whack out a giant turkey. Oh those were they good old days. :nerd:

    So?

It didnt even seem entirely directed at you, and your response wasnt fully justified either if your trying to use that tone.

    Grab a cool tool.

Oh yea! You know it. Big 175Mhz dual GPU Voodoo 5 would slaughter Crysis at any resolution. :nerd:
