It will work on ANY motherboard with more than 1 PCIE x8 Slot.

Am I out of luck with my p5k, as the second slot is 4x pci-e?

I second that. Since SLI is not a pre-req for Geforce PhysX, it will work in any mobo that has the slots to install more then one G80+ adapter.

I checked the specs on your board and it seems to be a x16 + x4 bandidth board indeed. I would say it works since the slot is physically x16 and I doubt x16 or x8 bandwidth is needed for PhysX but I can't be sure.

Yea I dont think physx could bottleneck a x4 slot either, maybe we are wrong. I will have to test it then.

    thank you for the input

    Thats great news. thank you.

I think a second hand, passive cooled gpu could do the trick for me then.

    Time to look for one.

A while back I've put two 8800gts (g80) in my mobo, just for the fun. To my surprise, both were indeed detected.

Currently Nvidia still supports the ageia physx card.
But there's no info when they will cease to support it but don't worry yet , mabye in like 2-3 years they will really stop to support it is my guess.
Have both physx on my videocard and have a asus p1 physx card so i hope htey will keep supporting the physx card.

If the videocard really beats the ageia card i will use the videocard but we don't know.
