??? Frequency of driver releases isn't relevant. Quality is far more important that quantity. Ideally, they would release one video driver for your card and it would work great for years.

If you want to argue that one card's drivers are more stable or faster or have higher quality, fine, but counting official driver releases?

Oh yeah and all ya whinies!!! stop whinin :p

ATI could release 10,000 WHQL Catalyst drivers but that wouldn't make 'em any good

Which is probably less than 0.0001% of all people using NVIDIA products..

It is capable (at least it will 100% sure in august), even with actual physx drivers and 175.xx forceware it gets activated in physx control panel, altho i didnt test in any physx-ready game, so cant tell you if it works alrdy.

What about people who have a physx card like i do? Will nvidia keep supporting them?

FnF is right. As Guru3D users, we care about Betas/Leaked/etc

But for building systems for profit i'm not going to use Beta or Leaked releases, just to be overwhelmed by problems/bugs/performance/errors etc...

ATI releases are monthly and add optimizations for newer games, which Nvidia takes months to make, at least in their scant WHQL releases.

If only they did post all the Betas in their website.

Driver support really sucks in the Nvidia side.

I dont think you realise this, But WHQL is nothing about that.

Its a Signing that MS give to a driver to say its past there tests..

More than likley 90% if the time, the betas will be faster/same/bug free as the WHQL

WHQLs can easily have bugs, some having more than betas.

the latest Betas ARE on nvidias Website..

Driver support to me, does not suck.

I'm a little new to these PhysX things, will these new drivers make games that supports Physx, run better? Is there any list with games that support such?

Sorry to disappoint you, but even though it will support it, the 8400GS is certainly not powerful enough to utilize PhysX, atleast not in games... Unless you want framerates below 5 ;)

I had a 8400GS Card and used it for about 3 days and sold it on ebay, its a terrible card.

Bought myself a 8600GT. Its not the best card on the market but it does me.

8400GS is absoutely not for gaming...neither is an 8600GT really. If you can afford one try the 9600GT.

On the other hand the 8400GS was advertised for HD movie playback for Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, not gaming.

hmmmmmmmmmmm, laptopvideo2go or xfastest, doesn't matter.
to me the beta or the leaked drivers always work the best, so that is 2 to 4 drivers a month to test with, me like

    #$#$^5 the WHQL, those suck

    Hi to all

Actualy im have an 8800 GTS 640 MB with SSC ACSĀ³ bios, running at 648/1512/2100, at this time im go to working again and gain some money, not much. I plan to put physx on my system.
Wats the best choice at this time: Stay with one card and use physx ( if suported ) on my G80, or take, an 8800 GS or 9600 GSO ? any based g92 card, only to use physx.
Or, if im want an physx take an Physx Card native ?
My plan is, see if have any difference using second diferent card only to physx, or use the same card.

    Bye

I don't think you can have PhysX running *only* on a second card if you have two video cards in SLI.

Your 8800GTS 640mb is much better than either the 8800GS or the 9600 GSO.

Also, there's basically no reason to buy a standalone PhysX card anymore these days. From what I understand, compatible Nvidia video cards will get about the same physics performance as the standalone card would get. I think they stopped producing them anyway.
