    Naturaly, yes I would.

Especially considering A) its quicker and B) it handles the GPU client a lot better.

my system has dualboot linux XPpro 32-bit.

How should I do it? re-format then install vista 64-bit?

What about migration from 32- to 64-bit?

    thanks

Do it the way that works for you, but you cant go 32bit to 64 bit unfortunatley for you.

Well, in my case it takes forever until Vista starts up and is finally ready to be used (even though I have a 5.9 Primary Hard Disk Score in Windows Experience Index and everything's defragmented) but even so it contains so many improvements over XP- you see more and more of them the longer you use it.
And aircool meant an upgrade from 32-bit to 64 isn't possible- a fresh/clean install is.

The cores are not optimized for the Radeon 48xx series right now.

Hopefully, before long they will be optimized to run on the Radeon 48xx series to get the same PPD as the GeForce Client.

Thanks...it's what I thought. but the main problem would be then that I would not be able to re-install all my 32-bit applications (like Microsoft office), unless it is possible?

Alll 32bit apps seem to work for me (including office) its just the much older apps may not like it (and 16bit is a no go).

Nice work sardine! Overclock that 8800gts a bit and it'll hit 5500ppd.

    Damn sardine!

That's some impresive PPD you're pushing out.

I hope. I've manage to get up to rank 187 on the Gur team so far, but I'm only making around 1800 PPD.

Lost several WUs due to power surges. :(

I currently have two P4s down, they will be back up tomorrow. :)

It seems like the folding@home team statistics page has been down all day.

Yeah, the Folding@Home client is really sensitive to overclocks; expecially timings.

I would get constant EUEs (Early Unit Ending) with my Athlon 64 overclocked at 2.7GHz.
