i did, insstalled 9600gt as 280GTX, doesnt work

With my 9600 gt its working on the 175.19 driver, thx to the guy who said it for 8600, well i think its working, in the PhysX properties configuration, geforce physX is checked, altho in information it says that there is no physx processor detected

without vista and ut3, any game in which it can make a difference? ima try aoe3 :X

Ok so I've been doing some poking and I'd like to gain some information from you all that have PhysX working as proved by the nVidia PhysX control panel.

Go to your registry editor (Start - Run - regedit - OK)
    Go to here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ageia Technologies
Above works for XP x64 not sure where it will be for other OSs but it will be in the software part.
Then could you show a screenshot or type out the values for each entry.
I believe there may be something in here that may solve why G80 has not been activated but without more data I cannot know a thing and certainly not get help.

    Mine has:
    (Default) - REG_SZ - (value not set)
    CPanelDoc - REG_SZ - NVIDIA_PhysX_Help.mht
    CudaDeviceOrdinal - REG_DWORD - 0xffffffff (4294967295)
    HwSelection - REG_SZ -
    PhysX BuildCL - REG_DWORD - 0x00000000 (0)
    PhysX Version - REG_DWORD - 0x00013ae4 (80612)
    PhysXCore Path - REG_SZ - C:\Program Files (x86)\Ageia Technologies

The GPU would have to be supported in the GeForce PhysX driver - which its currently not. A reg fix wont change that.

Im not after a reg fix.
    Im not after a crack.
Im after information LIKE I SAID above.
The more information we have the more we can try to help the situation.

rrjwilson, I think the key is on the SDKs, perhaps the same people are doing for ATI cards works with the non yet supported nvidia ones. The dude working on the ATI thing said the Physx seems to be really trivial to get working....... so........ I think the right way is going on someone with same knowledge start to "play" with the SDKs.

    lol...

    look at your CPU Score...

    ITS TEH SAME!!!!

3dmark 06 Doesnt Make use of hardware Phyics card.

Cant you read your own scores??

Of course I can read my own score sir. Sure CPU score is the same but my sm2.0 and HDR score increased, and as you can see my overall score jump without changing or adding more clock to my card or CPU the only thing I changed was PhysX from NV PhysX tweaker, so how can you explain that?

EDIT: really I want to know why my score increased :nerd: Oh and great OC on your card, did you change your GTS cooler?

it maybe bcs of it giving a lil more fps (cpu processing the very few physicx that sm2 and hdr test have)

or just some ramdom things, pcs aint mathematical machines (ok they are, but there r too many factors xD)

Your CPU score measures your CPU performance only nothing to do with GPU activity whether that is for Physics or rendering. CPU tests in 3DMark06 run purely off the CPU, no GPU computation is done AT ALL.
So of course your score hasn't changed on the CPU score. Clearly the split help from the PhysX isn't much only raising by 200 but on a GTS that is still an immense rise for just a driver change.
    Thank you very much

dunno if it's my imagination playing tricks on me or what, but I can notice GRID running faster after installing PhysiX support. :)

Although apparently Grid is not using Physx some other users have stated the same Grid going smoother.......

    Hi all

Just want some clarity regarding this physx. I have an Asus p5k crossfire mobo, and a 8800gt 512. Say for instance I want to dedicate a second gpu (maybe 8600gts) to physx, will it work on a crossfire mother board, or do you need a sli mother board?

    Thank you
