What are the best drivers for the 9800 GX2?

Ive read on some forums that anything above 175.xx is not good for the gx2 as they are not as well optimized for the gx2 if so which drivers suit the 9800gx2 best? :3eyes:

p.s i dont know how this whole nvida naming driver scheme works been with ati too long

177.40's are the best for me excellent IQ and awsome performance . Using xp32bit. They is abit of a bug with the control panel and show only progams on this computer tab though. On the other hand i use nhancer so dosen't bother me at all.

I also have the nvidia physx driver installed.

 

Can you tell me how/ give a link to a modded inf. for this?

 

Are they any better then 177.39?

 

For me defo better than 177.39's and they don't need a modded inf as they support all cards. I got stuttering with all the other 177 drivers. These also have all the latest sli profiles for the latest games if you don't use nhancer.

For now for my system under Vista x64 SP1 the best driver is 177.39. With 177.41 I have crashes in Mass effect and GRID In 3DMark Vantage with 177.39 I have the best results and no crashes in games.

 

I tried 177.41 but they gave me corruption in crysis, 175.19 total crap, went back too 175.16 and all's good again!

Haven't tried 177.40 yet because I have heard mixed reports about those as well.

Hopefully Nvidia will bring out something better soon for us 9800GX2 owners, I won't hold my breath though :banana:

This is on XP64, can't be fu'ked reloading vista again...

Edit: Haven't tried 177.39 cause there is no driver for XP64, can't find them anywhere!!

@ BaneComes, I tried 177.41 with a modded inf already, but got corruption in Crysis.

For me so far 175.16 works best on my setup!!

177.39...Corruption Crysis and slight stutter and flickering black screen sometimes.
177.40...Corruption Crysis and stutter.
177.41...same as .39

Oh well, I'll just have to wait for something better to come out for XP64 :nerd:

BAIT is right, 175.16 works best. All 177.XX crashed in crysis on XP 32.

 

I always get random BSOD's with these drivers..
