As soon as they cut out the "gangster" menus and teeny-bopper announces - then I may consider looking at the game.

Don't bother with pro-street, it's possibly the worst racing game i've ever played.

Play with you no fun(indiana jones)

The best racer on the market is by far GRID, destroys any racing game and then some for me.

    Physics,cars,tracks,fx.

    The game just rox.

It is not a sim, it's a racer, no other game comes close with speed, crashes, everything.

If you haven't got it, get it.

you need to tweak the controls, its far too sensitive by default, i use a 360 gamepad and set the deadzone to 25% i also tweaked the other control stuff but cant remember what settings i use now

You should use a download manager, so that if the connection is reset, it restarts from where it was, not from scratch :). Personally I'm using the DownThemAll! add-on for Firefox.

    + 1 for Grid

    - 1,000,000 for NFSPPS

I guess the next NFS game is suppose to be exactly like most wanted, with better graphics & a huge world map.

I liked prostreet, great car sounds, good sense of speed, drifting sucked a bit though, but normal races were cool.

    zonda rox.

I loved Need For Speed: Underground 2 and Need For Speed: Carbon (though especially the former). Didn't like Most Wanted much, it felt less "free" for some reason... But NFS Pro Street is right down the gutter...

well, the only reason i really didnt like pro street is the lack of free roam.

Reason i cant really get into grid is the whole certain cars to certain races thing, you should be able to run whatever car you got.

I find it hard to believe the physics destroy any other racing game considering it is made by codemasters...

sorry m8 i feel for you...i only lasted the demo then never looked back. However, I knew it would be pus based purely off the fact that EA actually payed money to the slut that is Krystal who populates our local (oz) soft porn mags..aka ZOO weekly. Oh ex big brother housemates should never be offered anything more than they are...

Not car handling physics, although they are actually pretty good, it is definitely not a sim. The damage/crash/destruction physics are beyond reproach though. No car racing game even comes close.

Maybe you should give it a go before you make up your mind. At the end of the day I judge a game based on my experience. Not the name of the developer, publisher or anything else.

    Grid is the new benchmark.

I like my driving games to feel like a real car. The most arcade i go is the grand torismo series.
