Nvidia Forceware 177.39 + NVIDIA physX 8.06.12

Demo works perfectly fine here.

 

Divers work great for me. Only game that seems to have an issue is COD4 for some reason. It's really choppy. Everything else is perfectly fine.

Nvidia Physx working also. UT3 Physx maps are a lot of fun to mess around with.

 

sorry, i dont have time to read all 25 pages of this thread. has anyone made available a version of 177.39 for vista32/8800GTX? thanks!

 

8800GTX is not currently supported.

 

The driver will work for your card, but you cannot enable PhysX acceleration with your board.

G92 & GT200 only.

All that shows is the tab allows it to be ticked.

Try Vantage, and see if the PhysX test works on the GPU

Opps sorry man I'm using XP 32bit ATM. But Crysis and Grid performance shows no difference at all.

 

Because they dotn use GeForce PhysX anyway.

The Forceware driver (177.39) is quite good anyway in my opinion.

Only 3D Mark Vantage and UT3 currently work with Nvidia GeForce PhysX

 

But one guy said in page 19 or 20 that he got a double performance in Grid and crysis. I'm downloading 177.39 now. I'm going to post the results tomorrow.

BS, unless its mere driver optimisations for an SLI config - it certainly has nothing to do with Physics.

Crysis - does not use PhysX for a start, neither does grid

 

This driver is faster - quite much I might say - than some older drivers in Crysis. It is probably meant to give boost in performance to beat latest AMD offerings.

 

177.39 sux balls, have artifacts in almost all games, including Mass Effect, AoC , UT3 , installing the 177.35 driver sorts this all out , so imho no use for using .39

 

Possibly, I havent noticed much of a performance difference between it and 175.16.

That's odd. I know that people say that they have got artifacting with this driver (but they have overclocked their cards). It could be that this driver is more sensitive for overclocking. Go figure... It works fine here; it could be very system specific - both artifacting and performance increase/decrease.

 

Yeah AMD might have good cards for the price now, but their CPU's bottleneck their own boards...

Though I'm not too sure Nvidia increased performance because of the HD 4k series.

 

with this drivers my temps went 10 c.. up..

 

With 177.35 (or was it 177.26) my temps were about 10c lower than normal. Now it is the same as before.

I would say that it at least made NVIDIA to act faster.

 

No, I said "performed better" that is I got more fps/smoother gameplay with this driver set than anything I tried before. It's as simple as that. It's nothing to do with gfx quality nor physics stuff you keep mumbling about.
