i reinstalled ut3 and did the instructions:
i guess its working cause the fps dont drop to death. but its not the best performance ever. like 40-50 fps we can feel when the fps change :/

i tried the thing in the link a posted, and seems like less fps.
its more stable with the tweak in the picture but no enough fps, it need to run at stable 70+fps.

PhysX maps are more stable, but classic map seem to run like before.

PhysX enabled, with the simple dll replacement:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    PhysX disabled:
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

The fps drop to approx 12 without PhysX and the lowest I get with PhysX enabled is 25

I tried this: http://www.tweakforce.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=2035 hack as well and it does the same for me as the simple single dll replacement.

A tip, if your monitor is TFT @ 60Hz it will not get any smoother beyond 60 FPS.

it worked but after a while the fps drops from 60 to 30 why? and even 24
i started the Physx maps with 60-67 fps.

    I'd imagine either:

    A) You have enabled v-sync

    or

    B) The enabled PhysX effects are creating many more objects on the screen to be rendered, leaving you in a catch 22 situation - more objects = more for the vid card to process/output, but as some of the shaders are being used to generate the PhysX effects, the card has less resources available to output the resultant image to the screen.

I'd say it is working pretty well, but you have to expect that its a lot tougher on the gfx card too.

Bozo - it might be an idea to take some screenies where there are some actual PhysX effects happening (explosions, debris, cloths etc), so the differences can be seen

what about to buy a new graphic card and make it for physx only? do you think it will help ?
and one more thing i m thinking to go SLi with 8800GT .. and what if i put the thered card 9600gt in the 3-ed PCE for physx? is it possble?
    P.S. i have 9600GT on other PC.

Yeah well, I took these screenies as the tornado was nearest and the fps dropped most. Actually standing next to the tornado and seeing it doesn't make the fps drop any more.

well it was 4 o clock in morining but no

physx would really have no affect on most games but the drivers might

but are u trying to say these drivers gave u better gfx?....its drivers not a game update....

btw what i dont understand is how people think physx games are gonna run "faster" with these cards

orginnaly running it from the pci phsyx card would acctually make u drop 10 fps or somat because of the extra rendering work the gfx card had to do.
But now there using the gfx card? thats means it should make ur fps drop even more as all the stream proccessors are used...

My very first post on GURU3D, also if I follow this forum from years.
I've tried this drivers with all PhysX games I got but so far I did not saw any change. I've tried: Medal of Honor Airbone, Ghost Recon Advance War Fighters, Joint Task Force, Jerico and Mass Effect.
Reading in this post I noticed that some users point out that drivers should only works with UT3 engine based game. If I remember well Medal of Honor Airbone is based on the UT3 engine and, also, ask for the install of the PhysX driver.
Maybe my eyes are not so sharp to notice the difference but IMHO the game is the same. BTW this driver set improve my SLI compatibilty issue under VISTA 64 and that is a very positive thing already.

ps.: Sorry all for my poor English, it's not my mother language since I'm from Italy.

I'd hold off for the moment, as this is still in the beta stage, and have not been publicly released, so as the whether the drivers can distinguish a 3rd card can be used for PhysX yet, I dont know. But currently, the 9600GT wouldnt work anyway, as this only works on G92 & GT200 based cards.

Aiacos75 - currently only works with 3D Mark Vantage and Unreal Tournament 3. Nothing else. (not even other UE3 based games
    as yet)

it runs at 75hz, and its to prevent drop under 60fps.

Is anyone using these drivers to play GRID?

I have been seeing random crashing from other drivers, so I'm wondering about this one.

tell that to the guy who appeared in this thread with his first post (page 19 post#472) claiming these drivers with the physix DOUBLED his Crysis fps

I was making the point they did nothing for me.

177.39 isn't as good for GRID for me as the 177.35.s. About 10fps worse.
However did get BSOD with 177.35's in Mass Effect and Dirt.
Not extensivley used the 177.39's but they were more stable in Mass Effect (no bsod after about an hours play - 177.35 would bsod after 5 mins or so everytime)
