That's because tons of people still play. Quake 3 is getting it's own web version because it's been played so much, and WoW is getting so many expansions because it's played so much. They'll be a reward somehow in games like these. =]
They'll probably release a new anniversary wallpaper that you can download from the EA downloader for 5$
I can't wait! BF2 is still a great game and a patch would be awesome! Doesn't one of the guys here have a server? I think it was [HOV] or something like that. We should play on it once the update or whatever it might be is out.
You know if that happens I might just have to start investing in floors that are comfy - for when you hear news like that
BF2 is friggin awesome i bought the game when it come out but i had crap PC with dialup so didnt play the game for a year and half come back to it played it online and loved the game karkand and wake for me
I totally agree....why doesnt BF2 officially support widescreen rez's? I know there is a work around but it causes crashes on some systems....great game even 3 yrs later.
Hmm i thought they patched that into 2142 so i wouldnt be surprised if this monday announcment patch will finally include the widescreen resolution option.
Maybe they will release a SDK, maybe they will update bf2 with the bf2142 engine code or maybe they will release the source code to the engine. And then George Bush will give every child in the world a puppy.
Its the same engine, just slightly modified in 2142. But yeah, maybe they'll have a BF2 version of that new crap map in 2142, and widescreen suport
Side note here................. Have you guys tried the AIX mod with the 3 map packs......................OMG!!!!!! I got bored with BF2 and moved on to 2142 and BF2 is now a whole new game with this mod......................if you havent tried it, you gotta!!!!!
Dont take my word for it.... But when the question was asked " will you still support BF2 ie patches " John Replied " Little Chuckle" " actually, we have something big to announce on monday becuase its our 3 year birthday with BF2" Hopefully its a patch..
The 2142 has better code and more features which would be useful to modders if they patched it into bf2.
