Well I for one would say that even with a few thousand people on at any one time, given the servers can handle it, I don't want this place to turn into 4chan
Ive been out of the loop for a while... but Ill be right back in there when I get back from my course this summer... and with that will come a whole new monstrous rig! Im excited for that!
for vB most of that is those are search engines pulling up the topics.. not real people. Even those that were real were prob in and out and still within the "I'm going to guess 15min default" time for showing those online here? As you can see in that screen shot it shows only 38members... thats what its all about... so what was the member count during that time? We may never know..but thats what counts not the yahoo spiders and google bots etc.
Mostly guests, yeah, but it's still a record. There's only one google spider bot, one yahoo spider online etc at the time.
Like John said, there's only ever a couple of spiders on at a time. Besides, they identify themselves as spiders, and I'm pretty sure VB won't count them as an actual user.
We did it again! Although no doubt this coincided with the GTX 280 Review. I wonder if this will become a common occurrence and if Guru3d's popularity has started to ramp up considerably. There has always been a steady increase in users but lately it seems that more and more people are enjoying the Guru3d experience.
