Just tried a little bit of self modding (I have a 8800GT 256MB, different dev_id than the one above here), the system is installing....something, will report back with progress/explosions.

Thanks for the heads up on the drivers OP.

Edit: After an epic install time, (Manual install via dev manager), it appears to have worked, just about to restart and test, what is this CUDA you lot are referring to?

IQ and performance both seem slightly higher ( just tested crysis benchmark but not at max oc), some nice changes to the control panel/ icons also.

 

mine is not working it goes through like it works i click on install anyway for x64 not whql blah blah message and at end it says system not modified god i fail

so anyway with a 8800GT and vista x64 got a working inf for these drivers please post it

 

Modded for all cards ... Vista 32 ... Using it now no probs... No Benchmarks yet (cos I'm upping modded drivers)

IQ is indeed a bit higher even though I scored 1 frame less in CSS than with 175.85.

 

Hey mate are you sure it realy installs ? For me it shows like it installs but at the screen that you select to restart or not, it says that there were no changes made.

Well for me it installed, can provide a screen if needed. Dunno maybe I've missed something in the inf while modding(but I think that I've copied everything needed) :3eyes: Try the other x64 inf posted somewhere in this thread or install via device manager.

EDIT: I've used the 175.80's inf file as a reference, if those drivers had the same problem with your card then it's probably their fault, lol.

Anyway, here's some feedback: this driver is faster in almost every game tested so far (Crysis dx10, World in Conflict, GRID). World in Conflict strange colors bug is gone BTW, great driver
