Happens with Vista too. I'm running XP x86 and Vista x86. 174.xx have issues alot of times SLI isnt working. 173.67 can be found on the MSI website and the disk for the MSI 9800 GX2 - or Station-drivers.com and Guru3d.com should all have them archived.

Which Vegas 1 setup you using the one from 173.67 or another ?

I'm using the Vegas 2 setup from 174.93, but with 'AFR 2' as sli setting.
Without vsync i've seen a range of FPS on the the first 2 missons of 80-170 fps - but i can't stand the screen tearing man !!! So lock it at 60 which stays nice and steady.

If I use the 173.67 Vegas 1 default sli setting of 'Multi-gpu' then I get 60-150 fps, but if vsync is on I get dips to 30 FPS !!!!!

In my case its clear that 'Alternate frame rendering 2' is best for me, wonder why I get different results from you ?, maybe because i'm using the AA settings from the Vegas 2 profile ?

Anyway suppose you could say the original problem is solved !!!

You do have triple buffering enabled in the NV CP?

    No its off.
Anyway TripleBuffering doesn't work in D3D unless using a 3rd party tool (such as D3DOverrider)

Cool. Yeah I think when the drivers mature this cards gonna get better and better.

Wow how helpful you are. If you cant help, then dont post with those stupid comments. And by the way, the game rox. :) But seriously, if you dont have anything smart to add maybe you dont need to post here.

Ontopic: No problems in the game, but I have heard from others that the 174.93 could be a help for you. Yeah and patch the game to 1.01. What kind of temps you have???

Well the problem is solved now - Drivers 173.67 !!!
No Artifacts & performance through the roof
Copied the Vegas2 profile from 174.93 and added in to nvapps.xml (but changed sli mode to 'AFR 2')

I think the thread got a little confusing after that as I continued the disscussion about which mode of SLI rendering to use, and performance with vsync on /off.
I found that with vsync on I got best performance with SLI mode 'AFR 2'.

BTW Game was and is patched, 174.93 were a disaster for me in every game.
    Temps idle 60'c Load 75-80'c.

Just rienstalled 174.93's on my system xp32bit and they are the best drivers i have ever used on xp. All games smooth @1920x1200 minimums of 54 in dirt ultra high settings even shadows set to ultra from high.

Dosen't seem to be. Have noticed one thing though, if i play @1680x1050 and above the fps with vsync locks at 30fps . Any other esolution below that with vsync enabled i get a solid 60fps strange.

Everyone with a 9800 GX2 has the corruption using any other driver than 173.67 with multi-GPU enabled. Someone made a video of it...

Doesn't bother me, but every 9800 GX2 user with these drivers and the game patched to 1.01 has it. Have you patched to 1.01? Cause 1.0 doesnt support SLI at all.

Yes I have this with unless I change the SLI mode to 'Alternate frame rendering 2' - then its bang on 60FPS all the time.

    Try it :)

By "artifacts", I assume you mean jaggies because AA isn't being recognized by your cards' control panel forcing it?

I have an 8800 GT, and AA does not work in Vegas Part 1, AND (only played the first map for about 15 mins) there are more than 5 or 6 spots that I would consider "memory leakage areas" - and these ares drop my FPS from a solid 60 (butta) to around 40ish at times = totally sucks.

No AA in GRAW 1 either....

SUCH badass games - why do they come out w/no working AA!?

There are new beta drivers out right now. The 175.12 drivers were released today. Can any one confirm that these drivers work? Also, has anyone actually contacted nvidia about this issue?

No, watch the video. Trust me, this is extreme artifacting. I wish it was a nub thing like no aa or something stupid, but this is really getting out of hand. Does this look like artifacting or no aa to you? :p
