Needs a much higher resolution to take advantage of your hardware. Should've spent the money on 1 GTX and a better monitor.

Maybe a new monitor is next on his upgrade list, I wish I'd gone the same path as it's pointless having a big monitor and not be able to play games properly.

heyy guys thanks for all your responses.

i was wondering if getting another 8800gts for sli is worth getting for a 22" samsung 22bw

will i get a very noticeable jump?

Depends on the rest of your system. I had one of the higher scale AMD dualcores, and I went from 11.5k in 3dmark06, up to about 12.8. Gaming wise, Crysis was a little smoother, but everything else played exactly the same.

Then, I jumped into the CPU and board I got now, and everything runs smooth as hell. I play Crysis @ 1680x1050 now, with Cuban's config and rarely drop below 40fps. The CPU just brought it all together.

So, depending on the rig you have, a new CPU/Mobo might be more impactful. But, if you're usin' a good setup, then you'll notice a nice boost (not 2:1 or anything like that, but nice nonetheless).
