[PS3] Resistance 2

It's coming boys and girls! Loved the first game so cant wait for the sequal. Here's some key features.

Now the above is more or less common knowledge but last night Gametrailers released the first trailer for the game, its mainly a teaser but got me all excited .

Looks really nice! Those monsters look nicely detailed...kinda like how ut3 should have been

 

From what ive read its going to be very good, first game was great so cant wait.

I will buy this game on release, really looking forward to this more than any other ps3 game including killzone 2, metal gear solid 4, god of war 3, grand theft auto 4, little big planet, motorstorm 2, grid, resident evil 5, apparently the first game used no spu's "or what ever there called" but this game is really going to use the cell processer.

 

So its uses the Cell but no SPU's?? i thought the cell was 8 spu's, that was the idea of it.

 

i believe the cell structure has the cell core, and 8 SPU's. In the PS3, 1 SPU is disabled for better manufacturing yields. That leaves 7 SPU's left. The operating system has one dedicated SPU as well. So there is the cell core, as well as 6 SPU's for developers.

 

Well i order my duel shock 3 for PS3 for GTA 4 but i need to pick up this game as well since the demo was good.

 

No the first game hardly used any spu's.

Most things, a.i, texture streaming,sound,blah de blah. have all been moved over to the spu's.

Trailer looks very sweet.

But biohazard 5 is looking might tasty also.

Well lets hope this one comes in 1080p instead of only 720p.

I'm just going by all the screaming people are doing on how crysis will run on the PS3 cell seeing its that powerful, while PS3 games still come out in only 720P, so I'm just wondering why if the PS3 can run crysis in its sleep according to some, I'm sitting here with the PS3 that Sony advertised way back before launch with 1080p as a selling point for games and movies, yet there is a overwhelming lack of 1080p native games....

Don't add up.

 

todays computers struggle with 1920*1080, what makes you think a cut down 7900 could do it??



they only managed 60fps at 1080p with wipeout.

 

Sony's marketing.....after all Sony made a big thing out of the 360 not having 1080p and hence not being Full HD when the 360 was released.....so i have to wonder where all these 1080p games are because at this time it all seems to be just a marketing ploy, either the machine can do them or not, and at this time and with the overwhelming silence of 1080p release games you have to wonder whats going on.


Come on Sony, I have a PS3 and a 1080p TV, now keep you side of the bargain and stop releasing bloody 720p games when the machine was clearly marketed as a 1080p games machine.

 

it will never have games with those graphics at 1080p...just not possible.

 

meh 720p is far enough anyway.

 

Cool, can't wait. I never got the first, but I think I'll hold off...maybe... and just get the sequel.

The 360 isn't any better.
