I'm still have the same battlefield 2 problem with this drivers just like with the 174.70.

This was my post in that topic.

I have a problem with these drivers. Everything seems to run smooth and better in every game and i really believed they were keepers. But then I wanted to play bf2 and then when i start the game my computer crashes completely. I have to shut the computer down via the power button.

The game crashes Immediately on start up, the screen flickers 2 times (this is just the screen going from 120hz to a lower hertz) and then when when the EA games icon is popping up it freezes.

When I uninstall the drivers and install the 163.76 drivers or the 169.21 the game works but the 169.21 drivers are really crappy and the 163.76 are not as smooth as the 174.70.

Does anyone have a solution to my problem with bf2?

    My specs.

    Nvidia xfx 8800gts 320mb
    intel e8200 2.66ghz
    4gb ddr2 800mhz
    power supply: 650w
    On xp x64

This same exact same problem exists with the 174.74. Does anyone have a solution?

Are they useless for my 6800GT? Can I install them?

I am not getting as good performance on these as with 174.70. In FSX with .70 I gained about 5/10 fps, but went back down using these. :(

If you're asking if you can enable AA + HDR together again, you can with these drivers.

I have a 680i SLI LT mobo these drivers are great for me.

Only other 174 series (and I tried everyone) that worked were:

    174.12
    174.60
    174.70

All other 174.xx gave me repeated black screens in games (Driver stopped responding error) that came back to the game but are way to annoying every 2 mins.

Probably a pretty stupid question but here goes, is your monitor refresh rate set to 60hz for 800 x 600 resolution cos of its anything higher, BF2 and 2142 crash/lock up on start up. If your answer is no or you dont know, download a program called refresh force and manually set it wich should clear the issue.

Did anyone get the Manage 3D Settings to work without freezing up the Nvidia Control Panel every time on Vista 64?

I installed them but i didn't have time to test any game...what games you played to test the new drivers?

Rivatuner shows me an error it can recognize the new drivers, it says to download a new version, I have the last one (2.08) Anyone has the same problem?

bumped the core/mem up 100mhz each, 3dmark increased about 1000 points, tried Crysis but the gameplay felt just the same as when it wasn't overclocked so i bumped the CPU up to 3.8ghz and got 1400 points and that's where Crysis felt a bit smoother (enabled 2x aa on High settings) and it was playable now, i'm surprised the gpu/cpu took the overclocking without extra cooling or anything sure the card temp was at least 10c higher (around 60c idle).

everything's back to stock now but hey was worth a shot :p

tried NFS MW and Richard Burns Rally all is great there's less occasional hitching when turning around for me, tried also LOCK-ON performance right on par with the 169.21. ;)

My monitor is set to 1152x864 and 100hz. But the thing is with the same resolution and refresh rate my computer doesn't crash with the 163.76 drivers, and with the 174.70 and the 174.74 it does.

I just tested them somewhat formally, between these and 174.70 on my 8800GTX. Average of 7fps lost in FSX (which is alot for FSX), in heavily crowded areas, goes to the normal "average" of 13-15fps. With 174.70 I was able to get at least 22 most of the time.

These seem to "stutter" more too at lower FPS and is more noticeable than the 70 version. I was down to 10fps and couldn't really tell too badly on the 70; on this driver it was noticable down at 15fps.

    Just my 2 cents.
