but wasnt one of the main issues with the game the horrific translation? i was thinking of getting it until i read the reviews and they mentioned the dialog( not that its mega important, but ill wait for the update now )

 

At least this is not EA they would charge for this patch

 

sweat...this should be a good reason to replay it...God i love this game..

Yeah, I've only just started playing it so I'm thinking the same thing!

Damn fine game so far but I agree with one of the previous posters, it is a little unpolished.

Still a great game though.

Stalker was a little unpolished too and I played that to death!

 

Thats really good news. Dont know whether to continue playing, or wait until the update comes... the game is great, just the translation/dialogue that is underpar. If they fix that it will be a hell of a game!

 

I wouldn't say it has horribly translated dialogue.

Least, not that i've noticed.

 

Great news, but I'll probably beat the game till then (I'm playing in very slow because of the lack of time lately..but I'm really enjoying every bit of it ).

Projekt RED just got a +1 for me. Developers that actually give a crap about their customers. Nice concept.

If you saw the original, unedited dialogue and text (or just tried one of the mods that restores some of it), TRUST ME, you wouldn't be saying that.

Compared to the original, unedited text, particularly in the Polish version, the US release seems like a retarded cousin that you hide in the closet and pretend doesn't exist.

The english translation is probably one of the worst that I've ever seen in the history of gaming (aside from "Someone set up us the bomb"); not bad because of translation issues necessarily, just bad because it got hacked to pieces and edited to crap.

 

I played the 1.1 patched UK version.

So unless there were major scripting differences from the release version, and from what I can see there isn't, then I wouldn't say that it was horribly translated.

 

might buy this now then, ive played it b4 tho at friends its a great game and all

 

i hope the quests arn't just dumb quests like kill something....? and nothing else happens, there needs to be a story..

 

in witcher every quest has it's little story....i don't think the new quests will be short and dull..

 

I was thinking about getting this game next week for my new rig but I think I'll wait it out now and carry on playing COD4
