    Nvidia Freak...

173's don't work on Windows XP (right now anyway), hence why I didn't mention them. But -personally- right now, the 171's are superior for Windows XP.

YOU JUST SOLVED MY OBLIVION CRASHING PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

All this time, I racked my brain trying to figure out what was causing Oblivion to crash... I thought it couldn't be the drivers because it happened in all the drivers that I tried (I didn't stop and realize that they were all 1.69). I thought it was my video card, so I downclocked it and even reflashed it to new bios; I even downclocked my FSB....

I couldn't figure it out and now you just gave me the answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a wonderful human being. :kissin::cheers::kiss:

    THANK YOU

just tried this and it seems pretty good .. not much of an increase from 171.16 , but after a long time i did notice "better colors" with this driver ...

These drivers are ace .The control panel is sweet and profiles working, lets just hope this is a sign of things to come with 171.... drivers.

Because when I read what people like you write on the Internet, it takes me twice the time to understand and then my head hurts.

These driver's are a vast improvment over the 169.21's , the pre render add-on is a god send to SLI overclocker's, Thank you.

I just learned how to mod today! I did both 171.17 and 171.23 by following the guru3d mod post and snipping the appropriate sections of data from another, working inf of a working install package.

    Read the sticky here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=171843

It was easy and kinda fun!

Yes, Pieter from laptopvideo2go, as usual :)

Can anyone tell me if the AA bug is gone for good in this driver version? (forcing AA for a specific game profile not working)

It was the reason I stopped at 169.13.

    Thanks!

Well dude, I did exactly the same! I'm using 169.13 since a while lol. And here are the great news: profiles are working :D (including SLI)
I can use AAx4 in UT3, with better performance than 169.13. I tested CoD4 too, fun perfectly. I tried almost all releases since 169.13, and this is the first time I'm not rolling back.
