Forceware 169.13 release

I don't understand why people are asking about how Crysis is playing when it clearly says don't use this driver with Crysis unless you use the patch LOL

 

just because the drivers are for Crysis SLi and requires a patch that doesn't mean the drivers might improve performance for single cards and other games this is the main reason everyone should try drivers anyways.

we sure but I'd still wait for the patch.. but yeah I hope to see that much of a boost.. the 169.09's dropped me a few points than the 04's but I stayed with them since the IQ looked good which is whats important.

 

amd x2 4800 2.8ghz 2gig ram 8800 gts 640 600/1458/900 (1800 )

Installed these new drivers over the 169.09 and gained zero fps in cod 4. No problems but no performance gain atleast in cod4.

 

I have 8800gts/640 and no changes

Def Improvement In Crysis!

Gpu test gave me approx 3-4 FPS more and my LOW FPS was 3-4 higher. Also added an additional resolution option for my 65" DLP/HDTV. 1440 x 900. In game seems alot smoother as well. Looking foward to the patch! Went from 169.09 drivers on XP 32bit

 

I am just DL-ing new drivers and ill check performance in Crysis mainly soon. One thing that bothers me ATM is that when i use that sniper scope (the first one that you get in 2nd mission or so) FPS will drop down to 19 :biggun:

 

I had zero performance increase on xp in crysis, but ut3 engine games got a good performance increase.
3dmark06 performance lowered about 30 points. I get 13915 instead of 13950.

 

Well that difference in youre 3dmark06 score doesnt mean anything. Those score´s differ almost from time to time even with same drivers. So dont worry about it.

 

Tested with Gears of War and WoW, no major differences compared to the 169.12s. GoW seems a little bit smoother though, Vista 32-Bit.

 

I havee got over 81,000 in aquamark and that is with the old driver.

 

it is a known fact that two identical computers and the same drivers would give different results, just because i own a 8800gts/640 and gained a few points or fps doesn't mean your computer will and viceversa that's how it is.

i can however confirm the 2-3fps increase in Crysis on my rig and the 110-120 points for 3dmark06 (retested twice), cod4 and bioshock didn't increase one bit, SOF Payback increased 2 fps and finally f.e.a.r combat is just the same as it ever was (no problems).

i can conclude that at least on my rig these drivers are keepers.

Omg , these drivers gave me a HUGE boost on crysis demo , was totally unplayable and now thanks to this stuff im able to play it with high/med stuff ! i used to get 14 -10 fps avg now im gettin 28 - 30 , wtf ! finally SLI is worth something . BTW how big is the perfomance increase on vista? i definately wanna go back to vista.

 

How bout actual "games"? It's international and I'm from U.S. so there won't be a problem right?

 

Games run fine with it. All an international version is, is one with other language versions of the driver including English. Display drivers will detect your language settings when they install so you won't end up with a language you don't understand.

 

Crysis 8800GT SLI under WinXP (without the Crysis patch of course):

1920x1200 all High
169.09 => 38.17
169.13 => 39.75

1920x1200 all Very High (tweak)
169.09 => 26.48
169.13 => 29.15

Nice boost when under heavy load. Can't wait the the Crysis patch xD

 

I got a pretty nice 4-5fps increase in Crysis SLI. PRETTY SCHWEET.
