Please tell me if you have this, at least if the Quality is on High or Very High so you will have same aspect, with SuperSampling.

you need to really zoom inside, its like some electircy instead of clean red dot, do you have clean dot or like some nerves that moves on the outside dot area.

Bro .... I'm almost 100% positive that is a LASER SIGHT its part of the gun. You should be able to remove it from the gun mods list if you dont like it.

What you saw would be called an "aimpoint" or "laser dot sight".
    Some crappy examples (in RL):

    Stupidest post ever.

Plus this is a drivers section of the forum.

Double the stupidity, double the uselessness.

I think he is talking about the "haze" around the red dot, which is also a realistic representation of an Aimpoint. Just like looking at a bright street lamp.

Actually I don't think anybody was aware of it, they saw the title, saw the picture and figured "he's talking about the dot". If you read the rest of his post though, he describes exactly what he is talking about.

And yes, it's like that in my game @ very high.

Actually I ment aware of this before this thread. As in, you already knew there was a "Halo" around the dot.

I know what I'm trying to say but I can't quite word it correctly.

i think it's pretty realistic, i don't know what others are laughing about this question. that's a laser (light amplification by the stimulation emission of radiation) beam and is't natural that it has some kind of outer shadow.

no you didnt understand exacly, i didnt meant for the laser sight, i meant for the stuff around it, my friend has it to so nvm.

*Ok i saw that some people understood.

if you use the laser sight yes OFC , i am not that stupid and if you thought i am i am sorry to know that you do.

If you see closly you will see some CRAZY red stuff moving around the red point, look closly, i cant explain it or take screenshot, it just to far or something.

and again i didnt meant for the RED in the middle IT SHOULD BE THERE OFC. god,

ok here's the redness explanation around the clear dot:

the real reflex gunsight has a plastic/glass clear 'window' on which the red dot is projected, the red light scatters and reflects of the 'window' of the gunsight and makes the edges a bit diffuse with light.

the weird redness is a very nice graphical representation of this reallife effect (hold a laser pointer dot on a clear plastic or glass strip and you'll see what I mean)

it's just light scattering from the projected laser dot.

the higher your graphics setting (if that is done dynamicly) the worse the effect since higher means better simulation of real world light's workings (and real world light's downsides).

(reflex sights do not project a laser dot on a target but merely on the gunsight's clear 'window'. I'm guessing the technology is invented for dark circumstances and for later more advanced sights that can adjust the dot to account for wind and such. google it or check here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_dot_sight

at zerocool: laser light might be near to perfect, but surfaces it's projected on aren't (not for dirty, to actually be used guns anyway ;) ) the 'shadow' is the imperfect surface of the sight scattering light from the projected laser dot.

well ea is half right, the haze around the dot is right, the dot itself is not.

it is an Eotech, when i look through my Eotech this is what i see

ETA: not only is it an Eotech in the game it is an old model, must have been a relic he found in battle :3eyes:

Further ETA: in real life it seems like a solid dot since you do not focus on the dot itself but what is beyond the dot (the target) with both eyes open.
