WooooW never thought that i would play this game so well even on my 8800GTS !.
Playing @ 1440x900 No AA or AF ( Ingame Settings ) and everything else on High cept for shaders ;). That is XP DX9 ofcourse.
Had a few dips in the mid 15'ish most of the time around 22~33Fps. Very stable and no jitters... really good on all high -> shaders med.
When i try to run Crysis on Vista Premium x64 ( Multi-Boot ftw ) i get a black screen with the tekst '' Pre-Release Demo '' coming up after a few seconds and that about it ... damnit !.
I wanna see DX10 and x64 in use so that we can see the difference between DX9 and DX10 and x64 !.

Edit: Played it on Hard for the first time and never died :D ...god how i love Cloak !.

I'm confused. Some of you guys are actually surprised to be running this game well with a decent res, no AA/AF, at med-high settings with the top 2 fastest video cards for consumer use?

Save the suprise (and most likely crying) to the previous generation card users :p. We know you have nice cards, now stop rubbing it in :(.

Running 1680x1050, Everything Medium,2AA. On some parts the FPS dips into the 1x but still runs good.

Damn i need to upgrade. :(

    HAHAHAHA

    Well said mate!!

Someone tell me a good driver please.

I've used 169.01, 94.25, 163.76. I just need one without flashing textures or that crashes.

Hi guys, its good, this crysis demo, but why cannot i set very high graphics, it looks like an average modern game with motion blurring thing, dont you think?

    was he serious??

Mate, regarding your graphics settings, try reading the last roughly 900 posts before you put yours up.... to be slightly blunt....

    ...and welcome.... ;)

    lol,
you need vista and a dx10 enabled card to enable very high settings.
this looks like an average game to you? :p seriously, what is a great game in your opinion, then? :p

And @ mito. Care to explain why you think it's failed? :\

Working great! Getting about 27fps avg at medium settings. Still very smooth, even at intense situations. Some images: (and yes, I realize I have no ammo in the second image and I'm being shot at lol I'm already terrible at this game heh)

The graphics look good, but the gameplay is meh imo. It's not exactly open ended, since 90% of the island is closed off due to shark infested waters or a destroyer launching cruise missiles at you.

The AI is terrible in my opinion, the only reason why the game was somewhat challenging on delta was because you die in two hits and apparently it takes upwards of 6 shots to kill a human wearing normal clothing.

The performance is another story all together, for a game showcasing DX10, it runs horribly at high resolutions, although I feel the only thing to blame there is drivers.

Hopefully by the time retail hits we will see a few more DX10 optimizing drivers, and maybe even a patch or two to the games internal code to speed up some operations.

    4. Timeshift??

I really can't see the point of playing crysis all the way through without playing it on some better hardware like the 9800. Aren't they supposed to be coming out in the spring :D

Ok :) At least that's honest.
I know it feels bad when you can't play it maxed out with that expensive rig, (wish I had it, tho).

    @ alcest:
So.... how long have you been on a vacation, man? :p

They didn't 'lock' anything. Very high is using DX10 which is only available in Vista. That's just the way it is.

I haven't tried the demo yet, gonna wait til the game is out to purchase it....

However, I'm afraid it won't run smooth on my rig @ 1920x1200 and everything high.................

Unless a new driver/patch is ready for the final version which dramatically increases performance, no.
