The overlocking on 169.01 and RT 2.05 works on Vista32.

If you select Standard 2D and overclock there, the changes will be global.

I've tested this with 3Dmark06 where the difference between an overclocked and no overclock is visible.

Well for the record, Unwinder looks you've done a great job on 2.06 so far. I suppose you probably aren't all that happy that somebody has leaked test6. It is working great with 169.01 in Vista x64, all overclocking functions are working and the new fan control sliders are a pretty neat little gimic/tool :D CPU use is also a little bit down with your new I2C register implementation, seems to have dropped overall about 0.5-1% peak with polling at 500ms, and mmio turned off, this on a c2q. Fantastic job, looking forward to the final.

Damn. For the first time in RT history some moron-tester leaked beta version of RT. I would really like to know the name of that idiot.

    Busted.
Thanks to zalmancooled. I'll never trust any man new to this forum and allow to join closed beta-testing.

Its a shame that because of the stupidity of one many have to pay the price but look on the bright side Unwinder, you should only theoretically get half of the "rivatuner has broken my overclocking in 169.xx, why doesn't it workz", and the other half will be "why doesn't 2.06 work on my xyz os with abc hardware", the answer requires a simple default template. "I don't provide support for leaked beta builds of Rivatuner, thanks to xyz leaker you can figure it out on your own, or wait until the final build is released. Regards, Unwinder."

    :)

Ahh! Wonderfull news indeed. Cannot wait for the final build to be released to public. Well so far 169.01 boosted performance in general so that my 8800GTX now runs stock as well as 621/1000 with 163.75 almost in every game.

Hey guys, can anyone vertify if the v2.06 will work on XP SP2, 169.01 x32 drivers on overclock, because with v2.05 it ain't working, though memory did remained overclocked.

So overclocking in standard 2D also overclocks it in 3D?

Because my 2D overclocking seems to work with the 169.01 vista x64 driver.

So we should hold off on installing 169.01 if we use Rivatuner 2.05 and vista 64?

2.06 may not be out anytime soon so we may not be able to use these latest drivers and rivatuner.

Unwinder, please, don't make the innocent pay the price. I am not a tester myself, but I speak for the honest ones. I think you're a little harsh on this.

One idiot should NOT be worth that. He might be actually happy that the result has gone as far as making everyone pay the price, that guy must be proud of him now, he won.

I agree, but still beta tests should be given to the users that interact with the community and have the posts (well I don't but theres ones that do...)

My suggestion would be to share the source. Make RT open source.
