    I'm having no issues with EP2 running in Vista 64 - 163.69.

1920x1200 vsync, aax4 afx16 everything high and I stay pretty much pinned at 60 until I turn the flashlight on :p

I pre booked the orange box, but as I was about to pick it up I realised I could download just the game alone (HL2 episode 2) by itself. Thats what I'm doing now...
I hope I have a smooth running game...

Haha, you wouldn't be able to run the game above 10 fps if it didn't have pre-computed lightmap shadows.

Game runs perfect for me....maxed out 1680x1050. 16xAF, 4xAA, Supersampling AA, Gamma AA. 60FPS vsync.

Although imo source is aging faster than Doom3 engine is.

I personally think Quake Wars looks much better maxed out with same enhancements as mentioned above.

Just got this and say its a good addition to the HL2 series, textures have been worked on slightly and the obvious physics improvements but same game really(new weapons would be nice)

Performance wise its very smooth for me, no problems yet.

I think hl2 ep2 looks as good as QWET.

Different looks i grant u, but i think qwet might be using more shaders.

Things i notice with hl2, is There is no Normalmapping, unless i missed them. Textures are higher then the last game.

Its a good story and i really enjoyed the game.

    Performance wise.

Its runs anywhere from 30fps - 75fps Depending on where i am etc. The light does slow things down alot, Remember farcry, that used to do the same thing.

the game runs great, but i mostly love the storyline, and this is what makes the game stand out from the crowd:)
-good graphics + smooth FPS + addictive gameplay and story ....and you have a winner!
