I've analyzed leaked beta of new 167.xx drivers family I was rather disappointed to see that NVIDIA completely removed (broken?) 2D/3D clocking for G80 GPU series in this driver. Due to this reason you won't be able to access separate 2D/3D clock controls on 8800 cards via RT 2.05 at all. I've added quick workaround for it in 2.06 and forced it to display/adjust 2D mode as 3D.
However, I've not tested 167.xx series with any GPUs besides G80 so I'm wondering if anybody tried to install these drivers on G7x or NV4x? And if 2D/3D clock controls are also removed (broken) for these chips too?

Yup, broken G80 2D/3Doverclocking is confirmed thing. Anyway, you'll be able to set fixed unified clock for these drivers with 2.06.
But I'm jsut wondering if it also applies to the rest GPU families and if 2D/3D overclocking is broken for them too.
I currently have only G80, R600 and RV670 installed in my home PCs and I'm too lazy to reinstall some G7x/NV4x in one of them.

Excellent driver for people who couldn't overclock

I think unwinder is going to be happy with the news i bring :)

Recently (weeks ago) you had a lot of people saying they couldn't overclock their cards on laptops like 8600M GS or even some other Ge7 cards. People like me who simply couldn't overclock with the 162.xx or 163.xx ... i think you remember those posts, you were really angry because you thought nobody was listening to you and you closed many of them...

Ok well now when you see one of those guys simply throw them back to the 167.26 ! This driver works great for our mobiles geforces, it's allowing overclocking again on our graphic cards ! (months we were waiting for this driver !) at last we can throw the 158.45 to the recycled bin, latest driver we could overclock with and which was working for both Dx9 or Dx10 games (including bioshock)

167.26 is even working with your RT2.05 shade clock, and i am going to do some tests youhouuuu ! lol... my 8600M GS had a 3d mark 06 of 2927 with overclocked 158.45 and now 3087 with overclocked 167.26 :-D

of course we still have to modify the .Inf in order for our cards to be recognized. But anyway it's a great day for us lol !

I can confirm that it's broken with my current G73 with fw167.26 too, it just shows N/A in both memory and core clock fields.

EDIT: using Vista Ultimate x86 with RivaTuner v2.05 ATM, if that can be somewhat helpful :)

Thanks to your wonderful RT2.05 software, i am coming back just to say that with the 167.26 on my 8600M GS (as i stated a post above) i tryed overclocking the Shader Clock separatly, ans yes it worked greatly !

    in 3dmark06 from 3087 i jumped again to 3151 :D

    Another satisfied RT's customer lol.

Of course i haven't messed with the shadeclock multiplicator so far, i just moved the shade clock to the right lol... but even like that it's working great !

    Yup broken here with 8800gtx.
Edit: I ran 3dmark 06 and I got 13389. Overclocked with previous drivers I had 13812. It seems that these drivers gave me a performance increase, now if only we could use your temporary fix I think I could break 14k!
