i just tried 163.75 and saw

    nothing fixed

    coh still uses 500 mb

stalker still uses 525 mb graphic card memory

and world in conflict still gives crappy performance since it uses 450+ mb graphic card memory

    we want exact solution

    if this is about bios

just release new bios we make our own update

why do you think driver updates would make games use less gpu memory?

No Alt tab glitch here. I think that is why they are ditching the 320 MB 8800 models also..not just because of the new cards comming out.

    lol

u dont know anything and comes here and write thinks

my card has 320 mb memory

    but at world in conflict

when games starts game uses 280 mb

after 10 seconds this usage goes up 380mb

10 seconds more than memory usage is 450 mb

    is it normal :bash::bash::bash:

    all 8800gts have this problem

but only 320 mb models suffer since our memory is too low if we compare to 640 and 768

640 and 768 mb memory isnt get fulled with current games

I have'nt had the ALT + TAB bug in a long time, S.T.A.L.K.E.R used to do it for me but since 163.67 I haven't had any slowdown with that game.

WIC runs fine in XP for me, Vista terrible though.

Has it ever crossed your head that World in Conflict isn't a 5 years-old game and that it is bound to use more than 500 MB ? :bash:

    are u blind

    or are u idiot

do u understand what i wrote

game starts with 280 mb usage

280 mb memory is really enough for this game but because of the fuccking bug

it goes up to 450 mb usage and the it starts to write datas to system ram

since the graphic card rams are really really much more faster than system rams we get crappy performance

i never really had this alt+tab issue at all, the latest set seems to only sooth things out. FEAR plays super smooth now, and Stalker plays smooth also for me (i'm using latest patch and 1.78b a float mod, and paralax mapping mod)

cefurkan on what reso are u trying to play and do you use AA with it?
LOL why don't u try lowering textures in that game - here is an test for WIC http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/10/09/directx_10_shootout/page7.html

1280x1024 +AA = death to almost all cards with low mem, see for your self 320mb version gets only 9fps at this setting.
Imo this is just one crappy game nothing more. LOL i never liked it though. :eek:ver:

They fixed the ALT+TAB bug ages ago, was in September, you cant stop games using more than 320mb, nothing to do with the card that.

anyway i noticed the same thing

game starts with low vmem usage (every game) and then climb up and start using system ram.

really strange v.ram does not empty......

I think this problem is not going to be fixed :(

as Nvidia want to sell more and more of their 640MB cards

i wish i had buyed the 640MB version :bawl:

so plz nvidia do some concentration on the 8800GTS 320MB users

Maybe that is the reason for nVidia to cut the 320 MB line. Maybe this problem is really hardware related ?

So is this an issue with the 320MB card?

Anyway, in Riva Tuner hardware Monitoring, what is the difference between Local Videomemory Usage and Videomemory Usage?
