    Damn Nvidia :realmad:

My UT2003/2004 still stutter like mad, so i can't play.

When i just fly around in the map, there is no problems.
But in the second i start the map, and play the map.
Then the Stuttering go mad. Online, Offline, lan and sp.

This is my game no.1. And i can't play.

Arrrrrrrrr !!! Will Nvidia ever fix UT ???

erm, afaik there isnt any problems with UT, its worked great here for ages! i think you will find its an issue with dual core processors, so either set affinity to one core, or there is an XP fix for dual cores, google is your friend there ;)

Nope you know whats the real issue, your gpu and windows xp.
I was getting this stutter crap since i bought this 8800 but not anymore baby lol::D, the stutter is fixed in Vista, it plays super smooth the way it should, 8xaa 16aniso all maxed, never stuttered like it did in XP. So if you can afford or have vitsa to install, go and do that especially if you prefer this game a lot.

I just install this update here: WindowsXP-KB896256-v4-x86-DAN.exe
"Danish version for Intel dual core processors."

    Now i CAN PLAY UT2003 & UT2004 again

My FPS is allways on 130 - 150 :dave:
All gfx on max + 1024*768.

Can someone confirm that Nhancer 2.2.3 is not working with 163.71? :frown:

    It works fine with 162.18..

I uninstalled it when I removed 162.18, then I installed 163.71 and nhancer. I got an error message while trying to start it up, see pic:

EDIT: just found a solution a few threads below :dave:

update : 163.71 beta is nice but when i was playing on xbox 360 and when i was done, i hook my dvi to my lcd after that my pc was not showing the desktop, so i reboot again and it show but when i got into windows, the nvidia pannel was gone and desktop was in 1280x1024 mode in 16bit, i had to uninstall it then use guru3d driver cleaner to take out the 163.71 beta. in other words, this beta stop your gfx card to stop working in vista and you have to use driver cleaner so you can install the WHQL drive one because if you install over it. it will not install.

Can anyone confirm or deny whether these drivers are better than the 163.44s?

Great drivers.AA enable in Bioshock and don't lag with v-sync on.
    Better FPS also.

Users having problems with the new Control Panel probably have old(er) versions or remnants of older versions of nTune still installed on their system(s) that's causing issues with Control Panel when installing the newer drivers.

FYI those of you running Vista and posting about your experiences with this driver (163.71) under Vista: there is a seperate thread covering the Vista version of these drivers.

Your posts in this thread are just confusing things for XP users!

any body with 8600's managed to run some HD video to see if the VP2 processor is working properly. i have tried but i dont think it is working properly the drivers seem to have helped in terms of fps but my cpu still goes to like 80% load although was at 100% load when decoding 720p but i thought the vp2 processor was suppose to make my cpu do basically nothing.

    edit:

actually my cpu is at 50-60% load at 720p so it is working but still not how i would expect. although now i get a constant 24 fps all the way through the HD video. where as with the previous drivers i got 100% cpu load and 16-24fps. so i guess its working. and it doesnt seem to help at all for 1080p even though nvdia said the vp2 processor is capble of decoding 1080p video at a constant 24fps. im really disapointed.
