GRAW2 and R6 Vegas will NOT START (VISTA 32BIT) with these OR ANY OTHER driver above 158.45 , "professional applications" notwithstanding , the OFFICIAL WHQL driver 162.22 will not run these apps on my system and shadows are screwed on vista64.

The problem NEEDS to be fixed I don't care what the driver was made for!

rolling back (and giving up all the enhancements of the newer drivers because of "needless" incompatibility with 2 popular games) to driver 158.45 , because it works!

    damn shame!!

tried out both vista 32 and xp 32 in vista its good no change from 163.11 beta and on xp from 162.22 whql i see a increase in framerate in World of Warcraft not by much but maybe 1-5fps. Btw Either version there is no HDR option in control panel. Which is no biggie cause its just a force on/off setting if the game has hdr already. Gonna keep both sets for now.

It's about damn ****ing time they fixed the Extended YUV range problem.

These are the best drivers since 96.89.

    They still suck though.

Unless I play an old 16 bit color game and it appears to be rendered at 32 bit internally.

***EDIT: I didn't read rel. notes right.*****

That's true but I wasn't really necessary referring to these drivers. I was really just asking the question in general because this is a drawn out issue. Thanks for your concern though.

What about Source-based games ? Any of you wanna try Counter-Strike: Source's Video Stress Test, maybe a comparison between WHQL 162.18 and those new ones from this thread ? I'd be appreciated.

Also ... I wonder, just why isn't nVIdia making a universal driver for both GeForce and Quadro ? I've never had any problems using so called "Quadro drivers" on my GeForce 8, to the point where I wonder why they make separate drivers. I'm aware that Quadro cards aren't for gaming ... but then why would nVidia make those drivers compatible with GeForce cards ... it baffles my mind.

Not to sound sarcastic, but; can you please list your comments with something such as: Wonderful drivers they're working great on Windows X ( Vista or XP 32-64) it would be helpful to users as myself.

They didn't. Listed under "Issues", not "Fixed Issues". :bang:

And yes, those are from the XP release notes.

Why in Dxdiag, the DDI version is 9Ex ? , in all drivers set in Vista.

and the HDR option in the control panel is gone in this set, dunno if it changes anything anyhow.

and why i never get the newest Control Panel, they say it has 1.5.0 but i always have 1.4.13.12.

Using 163.11's, wonder how these new drivers compare on vista64. 163.11 are super fast.

I don't understand how they can fix the hd overscan in vista but not xp. They say its not combatible with the 8800 series, and magically they got it working on vista.

But still nothing on xp. The option is forever there. blast..

Because all you 8800 users are just unpaid beta testers, this is why i havent bought an 8800 yet, too many issues, you'll know what i mean when the 9800 series comes out and is all polished and working perfect.

i know i have an 8800 and its terrible playing games with all the options on high and have a low fps i struggle to get below 30fps which makes gaming really hard work i need 20fps to give me a better chance of completeing a game.

i agree i hope the 9800 can play on high settings with above 30fps
