This has only been posted on the StationDrivers forum before, but I can't read French. Hamid's post seems to be a translation of the thread at StationDriver. I will not download these drivers until they are officially released by ATi and at their webpage, and at that time only will I download them from there, unless it is confirmed that these are real and official as I can't find anything about these drivers, not even on Google.

    Anyone tested them get?

Same here no diff at all. Lost planet dx10 plays in vista 64. But lol dx9 still looks so much better. Other than that nothing is changed. I think this is not the finial release yet.

Can somebody check if this release has the same issues that 7.6's and 7.5's had about "NOT RETURNING TO 2D CLOCKS AFTER PLAYING GAMES" ????

    THANKS !!!

Can anyone comment on lost planet performance? like if it's smoother or what - just curious if they added lost planet tweaks.

I just thing it's strange that they have not been released and still are WHQL certified. Are these drivers complete with x64 applications because I though there was seperate downloads for Vista x64 and Vista x86 last time I checked?

I know, but are there anything new in theses drivers? I see people are talking about Line Detect? What is that?

I'm still on 7.4 which i have found to be perfectly stable and get excellent performance in gaming. But seeing as i've missed a few cats i may well give 7.7 a whirl:D

I did a quick test with oblivion and lost planet with cat 7.7 and boy does the driver sucks ass. even with cat 7.6 and the drivers that came with the video card. the main screen selection to lost planet only moves like 1,2 fps with the 8800gtx smooth as butta but the wierd thing is with the 2900xt the actual game play is alot smoother then the main screen selection. with the cat 7.7 oblivion doesnt even want to go into the game instead it crashes, same goes with lost planet, I tried changing my settings and when I do lost planet crashes, even trying to get into the game but lost planet still refuses to go in. I went back to 7.6 and it does not do this at all. drivers need alot of work. anyone experienced with this problem? before I reinstalled my 2900xt 1gb I used tons of cleaning agents for my 8800gtx to insure 100% clean install for my 2900xt. That means using NFR(nasty file remover),driver cleaner pro along with cab cleaner,guru3d sweepers, using regseeker and deleting it manually and so on. I didnt even bother to try fear with 7.7 as it would prob do the same thing I am going back to 7.6. Actually hoping back to my 8800gtx until the drivers are better. This is horrible. Also there is no selection for HQ AF within 7.7 ccc.
