was using the 94.45 or whatever it is on there site and decided to try these new forceware beta 162 blah blah crap and totally destory my view. 1440x900 doesn't even fit on my 19" now, it like goes off the screen so when I move my mouse to the edge it scrolls my desktop over, I've tried all the flat panel paning scaling crap and the only difference any of that does is one of them adds the black strips at the top and bottom of my screen :( and these drivers..dunno if it's caused by this panning ****, but my screen is fuzzier now :(

The drivers did great with performance but damn, I want my 1440x900 back :( and if I go back to my 94 drivers lost planet won't run as smooth

    btw, using a 7900GS KO

Thanks immensely for any help :D

I had problems with these. Overlord froze my computer and I had to restart it. Went back to 158.45 and I cannot overclock any more. I know how to fix it but its annoying going through the registry to have to fix it.

They are great, alot of times people installing drivers DO NOT know what the hell they are doing ! Let alone turn a pc on, MOST problems are user stupidity !

I have NO issues with Lost Planet demo AT ALL !

It does. I got about an extra 10FPS just using the beta drivers on the full version. These drivers plus full version run smooth as butter for me on medium high:

    Amd x2 4400
    evga 7900GS KO
    2x1024 OCZ Performance

    And would average around 30-40FPS.

Without the beta drivers I get 25-30

Let's also hope this next driver release gives those with GeForce 8 series graphics cards allowance to play Half-Life 2 / Episode One and F.E.A.R. in Windows XP. The drivers obviously being inherent reason that we can't without certain unpalatable sacrifices in the former case, and in the latter case just sheer unplayability. Then Jedi Academy and dynamic glow being drudgingly slow... please rectify that as well, if I may ask. Let's hope these drivers merit 'WHQL' next time around... and that doesn't go without mentioning numerous FPS issues, amongst other artifacts.

    If I may implore. Please.

Overlord working superb here, most people having problems are overclockers and since i dont o/c my 3dcard i guess that explains it.
on a side note 158.45 are better if you overclock unlike these. ;)

Yes, turn Lost Planet HDR to high and you're running 64bit colour.

My provisonal conclusion is that at least Oblivion runs smoother than with the 158.27 drivers.

    However one question:
I read elsewhere that fan control and temperature are available again and I gathered that it is without the need of nTune, but I don't see it. When I choose Temperature it says that I have to go to NVidia to download nTune.
Should it be there without nTune ?

Ok i gave them another try, and they preform awsome, Lostplanet (hdr-high, 2xAA, 16xaniso, all high except shadows to mid) seems to work a lot better over 160.02, i've tested Fear a bit, and also noticed some performance gain to.

Well looks like I was right after all when I posted they had a problem and were removed.. I guess next time I'll believe what I know rather than what I read here.
