www.regvac.com I used this one for a matter time upon recommendation of a good friend. Seems to get the job done, plus it has a free 30day trial.

Err... I'd use CCleaner, I think its quite a bit better. Free for life too.

I don't believe there is useful RegCleaner out there, I've tried numerous programs and every prog overlooks a lot of files/keys compared to manual cleaning.

Which is true. Look in the Links section for "Boosting Your Benchkmark Score" which was what I did, I can't remember the exact title, but it was good.

I'll try CCleaner for sure, and Reg Supreme if it has a trial version. Also RegVac registry seems pretty powerfull to.

Registry Mechanic is very good it also optimizes your PC's startup.

CCleaner gets all the obvious stuff, but if you really want to be thorough, you have to do it manually. If you take your time and google things that you think you may not need, you'll find a surprisingly large amount of stuff left behind.

Until I installed a aplication which cleans the registry, i did erase unused registry keys manually, mostly leftovers keys from uninstalled games (like the ones found in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE for example). But then i 've found out that there are a lot more keys from those uninstalled games, and that is almost impossible to erase them manually. Far Cry and Xpand Rally are two examples.

Just what I said above, all the cleaners out there erase one or two very obious keys and overlook ten other keys, useless pieces of software.

I find Tweaknow's RegCleaner quite useful, because it tells you which registers are safe to delete/clean. The standard version is for free. There's also a professional version which will cost you some money. give it a try.

    Good luck!

Tweaknow Regcleaner = best & free

you might want to look at Registry Crawler too, you can search absolutely any registry key and delete it right away unlike your normal REGEDIT that comes with windows + backup...

    eg. you search : "nvidia"
it will show you all the keys with the name nvidia, you choose which you want to delete and then you do it. ace piece of software, can't live without.

Yeah but... I think he's looking for something that'll do stuff for him. If he is, that'll rape his computer XD

However, nice piece of software and I like how it looks, I may DL it l8r.
