ETQW beta keys being handed out!

Meh, played it for about a hour, i dont like it at all....thats all il say.

I got a CD key from a mate - Yay! Grabbing the client now at 480KB/s.

 

If you play it only for a hour, you prolly don't even know what to do, where or how. I know i was very confused for the firt day, but it has been better on every match i've played.

And to people who say it's buggy and graphics aren't good: No ****? It's a BETA, not demo, and SD has said this beta doesn't have high quality textures with it. Alot of flaws you say ruins the game are being fixed. Don't except to get final version when you play beta test.

Review the game when you play the demo, not beta.

Ah, so it suffers from poor objective indication? If so, there needs to be a feedback mechanism to allow suggestions. There is nothing more I hate than a game that makes you wander around frikkin aimlessly.

The game is almost exactly like BF2142, except better. Only problem is I hate that type of gameplay.

I wish they would just make a Command and Conquer Renegade 2 already.

 

I like it a lot. Different gameplay than 2142. Setting up waypoints, different objectives. Lots of different weapons from loadout. Graphics look great. Its Quake 4 outside!

 

From the sounds of it it's quake combat mixed with bf2, sounds better.

 

I like the water effects, i still think its very jerky even with FPS limit removed, but apparently theyre working on the predictive net code thingy. I really hope this isint the latest build

 

I can't remember right away where it was said, but it has been said. I'll try to look up for it.

Also i'm not sure is this the lastest and smoothest build, for some reason i think they let people from game magazines, in events like QuakeCon ect play the latest version to give best impressions. Like this beta has 30fps cap on player models that affects smoothness, and graphics are prolly also full out.

 

when is the official release date?
some local stores here are saying 29.6 but that can't be true?
