on your first 8800 you have some sort of memory cooler on the back but your second one doesnt. why is this?

Good look'n. The Cooler takes up the space above and pushing into the PCI slot, the only, I need for the sound card. Its not really required considering all the cooling I have going on.

Many people have overclocked their cards more than my own and are just fine. Second I have 120mm fan blowing right over the card and the card has half the memory so a little less heat.

I was actually concerned about this at first after I ordered all the parts but read some reviews that its more "good looking" than necessary and that the passive sink can be removed.

One thing I've noticed about others building comps is that they do it in a big mess but the end product turns out phenominal. :)

Nice rig, but your crazy for getting 2x 320mb 8800's instead of a single gtx 768mb, you'll be in tears sooner than you think as theres a few games that use more than 320mb in games now as it is. When dx10 games come along, tears shall flow from your eyes at buying them instead of the gtx for sure.

I doubt that. 256MB have lasted us a long time so will 320. Mostly this is used for frame buffering and on a 19'' LCD it'll be just fine. Furthermore, the SLI GTSs are faster than a GTX and honestly I'm not sure if the GTX would fit into my case. DX10 will be even more efficient than DX9 and most of the games you're seeing like Crysis are still in DX9. So no I doubt I'll be disappointed.

My CPU is at 3.15Ghz, 1.4v 1400FSB. I'm pleased with all of this.

I aren't too sure.. Try stalker maxed out textures / quake 4 / and doom ultra high. Something that will cause issues, but a GTX wouldn't.

i got a 8800gts 320mb , and some of the people are right , 320mb isnt enough anymore regardless of the resolution that u play, the only way out is to lower the textures settings, but to be honest with its not much of a difference between high and ultra quality.but please people stop saying he should have bought this and that, what matters is that hes happy with it , nice one m8

Games like Crysis will use more than 256mb of system ram,you can count on that.

Crysis will use as much VRAM as FarCry. Heard about some technology.

Thanks ya'll... Indeed I am pleased.

Coming from a X1400 lappy you can understand my pleasure!

Crysis as said by the producer said that it'll run on computers two years old which naturally implies very well on computers in the last six months and I believe Crysis has to be in the later stages.

I scored 13709 in 3dmark06 and was able to overclock the C2D to 3.2GHz on 1.4 volt max temp of 40C.

six hours? you lucky bastard :D

it took me about 12 hours to get everything ready with the watercoolers and stuff.... :D btw the 2xgts320 isnt the best choice.. you should have gone for a gtx sli or a single gtx :)
