People should only go to Ibiza if some how 1993 happens again. .................. I would recommend Prague or Edinburgh. The place with the most things to do for a family is probably London. It has free museums and attractions up the wazoo.
Only that the film was actually filmed in the Czech Republic. :beam: Go Prague, it's cool and cheap too.
If you get a chance to spend some time in Belfast, Northern Ireland... I HIGHLY suggest doin so. I got to spend a couple months there back in the summer of 97' I dont recall any other time in my life that i've had anywhere near as much fun so that would be my personal recomendation.
Whatever you do, don't go to Pisa, Italy . Anyway, Arhus in Denmark is very nice, or Copenhagen. Besides that, Krakau in poland is a beautiful city. Barcelona is nice to. A bit closer to home I think Antwerp is one of the nicest cities to go to.
Since it is for the summer, you could go to a Southern Europe country so you can all enjoy the sun and the sea. Countries like Greece, Italy or Spain. Cyprus is very beautiful too. I can't really recommend you any specific cities it depend on how you want to spend your summer. Personally I prefer relaxing vacations (not crowdy beches etc), but have those countries in mind. They are the best destinations for the summer.
Stavanger in Norway, it's expensive, but the people are really sound, great pubs, great food, great things to do (oil museum, preikestollen, lysefjord). don't come to aberdeen, it's raining and everyones miserable, unless you fancy spending a week in the pub, ( i suggest Ma Cameron's just off belmont street) Inverness is nice, i'm heading up there tomorrow for the day, Loch ness is really nice if the weather is good. Edinburgh would be better if there weren't so many Jambos and hibees.
Go to Cracow, Poland. I myself live in Warsaw, but Cracow (Kraków) is the place to go when visiting Poland for the first time. http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/05/27/travel/27next-1.html?ref=travel
Hey Man, i think Prague should be the best choice...There are a lot of very nice sights, you can try real Czech Beer and enjoy many other things which are related with the Czech republic
At least that city has got stuff to see, not like neighbouring Livorno that has got only stinky rafinery. Family trip to Tuscany anyhow are highly recommended.
Meh, for me it's kinda big city I like Kuopio more... I'm not living there, but hey... How about Tahko?
OP should actually state what his preferences are, every city has something to do, just the balanace is different. Anyway i recommend Stockholm, absolutely brilliant and stunning in the summer and nightlife is spot on, trips around the archepelago( or however you spell it ) and all that stuff Damn Helsinki is expensive, then again if OP goes to stockholm, can take the weekend ferry to Helsinki, thats a riot Anyway im off to Amsterdam next weekend, woohoo
IMHO, the top 10 cities in Europe are: 1. Barcelona 2. Dublin 3. Paris 4. Rome 5. Amsterdam 6. Prague 7. Vienna 8. London 9. Berlin 10. Budapest But for the summer, the best place for tourists is Scandinavia since it's beautiful all over, the day lasts almost 22 hours and the temperatures are much lower than the central European ones.
Ahh Dublin, much prefer Cork/Galway myself, cheaper, people arefriendlier, easier to get around and not full of nackers
Gonna be honest, my country is booring. But you're welcome to stay at my place if you're planning to go to Belgium
Ah, man. There are just too many cities to choose from. I don't go on holidays very often, so I want the city to have a lot of cool looking places and food and stuff that isn't available anywhere else. I don't want to go to a city where you have to pay 5 times the normal prices for everything, because the city is so "famous".
