what I want to find out is do these fix the damn memory crash for BF2 for example.and when you exit the damn game does it keep my background on the screen and not make it black till I click background... loading now and crossing fingers for good performance as well.

Sounds like a 8800 issue as I haven't had that happen on either 32 or 64 bit Vista with my 7600GT.

And now like you, off to test BF2 with these.

so far while using Driver cleaner... I've restarted and started loading them..and they prompted me to say I still have drivers on it ?? mmmkk so it asked to uninstall so I did and it restarted again..now back to loading so far so good..that was odd.

    WTF

Edit: I keep getting previous drivers found and it won't let me add them manual cause it doesn't see them.. now how in the hell.

Oblivion still doesnt have aa+hdr, when applying aa in control panel and hdr ingame.

Digital vibrance and image sharpening still grayed out.

    Scaling options DO work.

The readme PDF doesn't list a fix for Vista x64 with 4Gb of RAM, it doesn't even aknowledge it as an open issues.

Interestingly this driver is slightly faster than the later 165.01's , test done on 8800gts at stock speeds.

    3dmark06 vista 165.01 =7682

    3dmark06 vista 158.18 =7695

    Will test some games shortly.

Can we get the same SLI Vista x64 4gb RAM test done on these please.

Those of us with Vista 64bit because we've upgraded to 4Gb of RAM are currently screwed out of SLI :(

Is there any way to get fan control back on these drivers?

I like to keep my fan at 100% but i have no idea what it's at, but it certainly doesn't sound like it's at 100% :(

Unstable, they only seem to be broken on the 8 series, those features work fine on my 7 series sli.

I have 2 gigs.. want to go to 4 but nobody and I mean nobody is selling my ram chips anymore it appears... but I have random crashes of a memory error and it appears to be from the graphics card memory and the drivers were causign that, and then i have a CTD sometimes after loading a map or in the middle of the load.

Mines running fine here, BF2 is running fine on previous drivers as well. Maybe you have another issue? I am running a 8800GTS, maybe thats why, might be a GTX problem only.

    Dont bother.

To access all 4Gb you need to install a 64Bit OS and then set a flag in your motherboards BIOS to enable memory remapping (often called something else) this allows Vista to address all 4Gb of memory.

Unfortunately theres a little known bug with ALL 64Bit Vista drivers where if you have 4Gb of system ram (and presumably above that as well) SLI will simply cease to function or give you errors.

it's not confirmed with these drivers, but it's not in the release notes so I dont hold out much hope.

    *edit*

If you're only running a single video card then this bug wont effect you.
