New drivers: Forceware 165.01 Recived from directly Nvidia Tech apartment

I'm making the Vista x32 and x63 seed (will take about 10-15 minutes to make. its a whopping 67 megs for both)

someone else - please be kind and make the xp set ?

 

These drivers have installed correctly and are reporting as 165.01, on to game testing...

btw i use 7zip ultra setting and i scan them before uploading it : ) enjoy

 

What about fan settings via nTune and Gainward's Expert Tool, still stuck at 60% ?

I found gainward's expert tool last night, but it's fan capabilities don't work with the 101.70 beta I also installed .

What's the latest/best forceware version to work with "EXPERTool" ?

if so, ill try it for a day ro so until I get Vista ultimate 64 installed.

 

fan settings work as does OCing with expert tool, same as 101.70

btw, maybe g98 is just a typo for g89...

 

FEAR is crashing when I try to use the benchmark...one error [driver has stopped responding] and one reboot.

R6V, Oblivion and ArmA work without issue...I did just install over the top of the 150's, just the see if they worked at all, so I will try removing the compleatly and try again.

Someone else test FEAR.

This is the XP set BTW.

TDU, FSX and STALKLER all work, so just FEAR is buggered-up for me.

 

I am not a "brand new user" .. I got these from Nvidia tech because we work close with them and they send new drivers sometimes..

 

It worked with 100.65, but not after installing 101.70

Well, I'll try re-installing expert tool, maybe needed for each forceware installed..?

 

i didnt have to reinstall going from 101.70 to this driver. I used driver cleaner pro and installed the right way.

 

Since these will install on a 6600GT i'm gonna give it a go thanks for all the links guys.

 

I had a BSOD on stalker during load, second time it worked. STill cant run stalker with full dynamic and AA from control panel (it just renders the sky). But it did run with full dynamic and no aa in control panel. I like to run it static lighting and 16aa, which is what i tested. Seems to be faster I dont do much benchmarking but it definatly ran nice, and seemed to have less of a slow down when alot of shooting is going on. Also IQ was good, not sure if its any better though. more to come...

 

It's known that even GF8800 only drivers will work on any NVIDIA card if you just force the install via Device Manager or by hacking the INF...

 

Just done a bench on XP drivers with 3dmark06. Seems to be around the same as the 185.16 version. So looking good there. Now going to try on vista 64.
