Ok, sounds good. I would always use Patch #3 personally because after that I wouldn't have any problems, and there was no reason to try the newer ones.

So I got to installing MVP 2005 and the '07 mod, and even though I played for all of 10 minutes on a crappy backup PC (Celeron processor, old AGP video card), I gotta say that it's very impressive. The presentation values are great, major upgrade over the original. All the menus are done over, new music in the menus, new "walking to the plate" music, improved camera angles, etc. The rosters are great as well, totally up-to-date. I pitched with Dice-K for a few innings and his stuff is nasty, very nice re-creation of him. Stadiums all look great as well. This is definitely the kind of mod that will keep me hooked for months to come. I gotta make a donation to those guys who worked on this, they really know how to breathe some life into a game that's about 2 years old. Great stuff all around :D

One more question for anyone that can answer: I installed everything by using the installer that came with the 07 mod, so I didn't actually install MVP 2005 first. Therefore, there were no registry files available. This meant that when I tried to install the official EA patch #3, it wouldn't allow me to. Would you recommend installing MVP 2005 first, then the official patch, and THEN installing the '07 mod and the '07 Mod Patch #2?

If it even exists... would be cool for sure if they could put something in there, but since not a lot of people have seen it and since he apparently doesn't throw it in game situations, it's unlikely. His pitches seem nasty enough as it is in the game, I love the break on his slider :D
