    a. Gloria Allred is in on it, I guessed this even before I was done with the first paragraph. This means it will get dragged through the media and the court wasting taxpayer money just to prove she's the champion of woman's rights.

    *sigh*

    b. Ditto what the author said... who takes a shower when a service person is at their house. It's like the beginning of some b movie, lol. :bonk:

Funny about 7 years ago or there about I worked for Dell's at home service and I went out on a call that was in the same neighborhood as one of my friends dad and I knock on the door and this chick that don't get me wrong was pretty damn hot from what I remember answered the door butt naked and I'm standing on the other side of the screen door speechless and she says come on in I don't bite lol. I'll never forget it I walk in she points me to the direction of the computer and walks up stairs and comes back down after a few minutes in pj's and fixed that thing as fast as I could and booked out the door to my buddy's dad's place to tell him what happen and called it a day lol. Can't recall what I went there to fix but leading up to that point I'm sure I'll remember for a long time.

and yes all my friends gave me **** for not hitting on her lol I'm just not sure what posseses someone to do that to a perfect stranger.

It is the honest to god truth though she lived in an apartment complex right before going into the neighborhood my friends dad lived in witch was about 5 minutes from where I lived back then.

I also fixed a computer for a guy who won the lottery and he gave me I think a 200 dollor tip for a service he payed for when he purchased his PC I probably could have been fired for taking grutuity but I never told anyone.

The places I hated was when the user was like in the middle of no where I get creeped out when there is no one around to hear me scream lol.

and when that happened I was about 20 - 21 as I went from that ging to working for Boeing on the Dell contract that was a nice job about 3 calls a day and I did a whole lot of nothing.

Greatest moment of all time was when I went to fix a chick's computer and I stumbled on all her p0rn. The silence for the next few minutes was so deafening that you could hear ATOMS colliding. lol
Do you know how weird it was when I was backing up the files?

Fixing computers can be stressful but its moments like those that makes it very, very entertaining.

Greatest moment for me , was when I was just sitting next to the Geek Squad desk thing, waiting for my dad to finish paying at the register, and this person comes in saying that her computer keeps getting this "Strange blue screens that tell me to do stuff, but I dont know what they mean." And the Geek Squad nerd (Fat, balding, glasses, etc..) was trying to explain to her how her CPU was failing and that she would probaly need a new PC.

If you can guess what I said next, your no smarter then any other self-respecting computer user that knows his stuff.

" The Blue Screen Error your getting is not related to your Processor, its probaly a driver error, bad memory sticks, bad registry information or possibly if your computer is trying to use damaged or incomplete Dynamic-link library's, but not your CPU. "

OMG! That Geek Squad guy looked at me like I was PURE EVIL. The girl just picked up her computer and walked right out.

I am still glad I did that.

lol honestly I wasn't thinking of post count when doing that... But yeah, I make sure to do all of my own backups and reformat the damn thing before sending a computer in for a warranty repair.

I try to save as much of my customers' data as I can, but I ain't afraid to format. I make sure and state that explicitly.

Another golden moment was recently when i had a pc come in with a 250GB partition called *drumm rolls* WAREZ.

Hmmmmm.....I wonder what was on that drive? <--insert massive sarcastic statement here. ^_^

I presume Icebird requested him to remove it...doubt she requested though, as she could remove it herself...or was it USFORCES who made that rant thread on Icebird earlier this morning then it got removed in a few minutes...lol.

If he made that minor rant on Icebird, I guess he removed it himself.

As for the article though Brandonspikes, you can read it here. But yeah, seems USA are sue happy aren't they?

I think it was time or newsweek that ran a six page article some time ago called "the crybaby nation" about the whole suing phenomenon. The illustrations they used were absolutely hilarious.
