I got it like, an hour into the game, near that rebel camp at the start, I was searching for some treasure and the thing guarding it was a pseudo-dog, I just got lucky.

doesn't have off/on next to it so do i just add this like this

i must be the most unluckiest guy on earth then, as i spent over 35hour overall and still dint geta tail

 

no just set it without a on or off,, that setting is telling what rendering mode to use hence above there R1 = static, R2 = dynamic

no off or on is needed

just renderer renderer_r2

 

so youve rushed through it or have you done the side missions ??? where is the bar by the way ?? it in the zone garbage??

 

One area north of that.

I think I have actually rushed through the game, in total i've done one side mission I think, plus a few defenses.

 

ok Phase05 it worked

now i have FULL HDR + AA and enhanced lighting (BUT wait till u see how bright it is WOW to much lol)

the AA makes a bit of difference look here (look at the gun / posts)


and the brightness of that fire is like a nuclear boom lol

 

I do like this game, but the bloody bugs.

Also i went to steal the documents, i got them, but even though i use the anti-radioactive drugs, they don't lost long enough, and while your in a firefight with 6-7 ppl, your health is dropping silly amounts.

I like the fact this game trys to be alot of things in one game, but having to top up health while bullets are flying around you, yes even through metal and other surfaces(armour piercing rounds?) The toxic air is killing you, even though five mins before in the same place, my health didnt drop abit.

Onto the graphics.

It does have some very nice texture in places, and brilliant lighting, Best by far is underground, gives,doom3,farcry etc and any other game i can think of a run for its money.

Still think, this game could have been alot better.

 

lol yeah, that is what i warning you about hehe

why i strongly suggested you use pYuras settings, they tame the fire glow to more realistic levels

but im glad to see it working for you even if blinding atm lol

 

The more I play/progress, the more it starts feeling like Fallout updated.

The game really seems to kick off when you get to the 'bar'.

Scored myself a 'seve' (from memory) suit which adds a whole lot of protection. Had a 2nd one there as well (worth 30000 roubles) but was over my carrying weight and didn't want to leave any other goodies I'd collected - especially the rpg/rocket launcher. I've also found it's worth checking bodies again when you revisit an area as they seem to magically aquire items even if you've stripped them bare previously.

Just wish I had a horse or some bloddy thing for transport as it does get a tad monotonous traversing the map from one area to the other several times to complete missions and such. Maybe I can train myself one of those 'wild hogs' and bareback it across the countryside.:beam:

 

Any idea how to get mouse side buttons to work in game?

It only seems to recognise buttons 1,2 & 3.

 

You should look around online for some user tweaks, this game can look really amazing, but I love th gritty dirty look it has now.

You have to give the game time, as you can get armour that will sheild you from fire / radiation / electrical effects. At the moment I have a suit that does that and provides heavy bullet proofing.

As for graphics, try this simple setting in the console. r2_ls_bloom_fast on , it gives a nice bloom effect, and eye adaption, so things get bright outside and the likes.

So, I'm palying STALKER on P4 2000MHz, 768MB DDR and Radeon 9600 XT 300/500@340/610, which have shaders 2.0, here is my question. Why I can't change render type? I have only Static Lightning, and I don't have any parallax/bump, bloom, shadows effects -_-, it's strange, because my friend, which have x800GTO with shaders 2.0 too (like me) can change render type to full lightning etc. Why?

 

Wish i could make the game look like that.. ****, wish i could even have it on any graphic mode and not crash after a few minutes.. Whats wrong with the stalker team? 100's of people with problems and nothing said about it.

i found it after stealing the gov document, the dog was just laying in the road and i went to search a dead guy next to it but selected the dog by accident

wayhay only 40ish hours worth for 1 mission lol, the game would last about a year if all mission was like that lol

 

lol...finally heh damien. Better late than never.
I spent 2+hrs looking for the 2nd door code off the dead scientist and I only found it by accident when the cursor changed to 'search body' but there was no bloody body there. When I finished searching and had the door code, lo and behold theres a dead scientist laying there in a bright red suit.

Damn annoying bugs.

 

What folder are screenshots saved too....i took some with F12 and can't find them....print screen does not seem to work?
