Well im happy to say for any TFC players out there, the stuttering seems to have stopped. Just played an entire round online without any issues...

    Same with HL2 Deathmatch....

Ill be running some benchmarks soon ..but all in all this driver gets a thumbs way up thus far...

    Sli

    Vista x64 + Dual 6800s + SLI + World of Warcraft = 2 FPS

WoW seems fine without SLI enabled, try again nVidia...

Didn't test anything else as I don't have anything else installed ATM.

i wonder if this is just me, but does anyone else with a 7950GX2 get only a single Display Adapter in Device Manager ?

in XP, it behaved the same way. but in vista, early on, it displayed two GPU with one of them disabled. (seemed sensible, SLI was disabled and thus the second GPU was disabled and unconfigurable).

now im back to just a single display adapter and drivers dont show anything special in the main global settings page regarding SLI except for the Multi-GPU performance mode setting . ive never seen the feature that shows the scan-line visibly so that you can see what is rendered per GPU.

is that what other 7950 owners experience? or am i tripping..

Well , as mentioned TFC ,HL2 and other games have stopped there terrible jagged problem on my rig.

CP seems more responsive..actually the entire feel of the system seems a bit more solid.

The driver stops responding issue that i have had while exiting out of games seems to be gone... Also the Dream scene doesn't halt anymore, probably because the driver isn't crashing anymore.

Just ran 3dmark05 and actually dropped some. from 14,235 to 13,989..I will try 06 later.

But ill take the drop for better stability as this set appears to me to have fixed bugs and stability issues exclusively, and not so much on adding performance enhancements.

    Sleep mode works

Just an FYI - on my 8800 GTS S3 Sleep mode now seems to properly resume.

So far they're good, CP color/brightness settings are OK, game performance is up a bit too.. Games tested so far: Oblivion, Rainbow Six Vegas.

    AA & HDR in Oblivion?

Anyone have HDR and AA working in Oblivion? There was a thread at hardocp were a guy said it was NOT working still.

If not, can someone with enhancer installed check under compatability, check off "anti aliasing compatability" and select "Force AA on HDR (Oblivion)" and see if this fixes it?

    Amendment to my last post......

I spoke too soon...... Im now getting "driver shutdowns at an amazing pace now" Its not happening during games as much, but just when im surfing the net...it even happened when i was away from the comp and it was doing nothing.

The driver is recovering though, yet not without posting in error reports.

    Things such as

    --------------------

    Problem caused by Half-Life 2

This problem was caused by Half-Life 2. Half-Life 2 was created by Valve Corporation.

Microsoft has been unable to contact the manufacturer and has no further information available at this time

    ---------------------

Although we know the problem is caused by a hardware component, the error report does not contain enough information to tell us the specific component. It is likely that the problem is being caused by one of the following computer components:

    Random Access Memory (RAM)
    System board
    Central Processing Unit (CPU)
    Power supply
    ---------------------
    Problem caused by Firefox

This problem was caused by Firefox. This program was created by Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox does not currently have a solution for the problem that you reported.

    ------------------------

Most of the errors being reported are showing this as the issue according to MS

    Problem signature
    Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent

MS claims in the error report that this issue is known and being researched
    ------------------------

This all since this last Driver.....Even though the jagged game play is gone, the stability of this system has been compromised.

So ill be returning to the lessor of the two evils 100.54

I havent tried AA but HDR works for me..... except I get choppy performance in Oblivion right now.... its not lag it just skips... no matter what setting I tried... seems to do it a little less with this new driver..
