Gigabyte 7950 GX2 nVidia Control Panel always show 35.01%. I just can't believe this is correct. I set it to 100%, applied it and now it shows 100%. The fans sound the same and the temperatures stay the same. What gives????
Trust me, I have a 7950 GX2 and if fan control is enabled, you can definitely tell if the fans are running at 100%. I would make sure you are running the most recent nVidia driver (93.81). Also download both the most recent version of nTunes and the most recent version of Riva Tuner. The fan control varies by the BIOS version and video driver version. My BFG card had no fan control up until driver version 93.71 and then it magically started working. Both nTune and RT can now independently monitor and control both fans within a range of 35% (the minimum stipulated in the BIOS for my card) and 100% (the maximum amount allowed by law).
I am currenlty using the v97.28 driver release from Guru3d. nVidia Control Panel v1.3.6.16 and shows gpu fans are at 100%. Temps at 116F and 132F in 2D and same in 3D. When you say "you can definitely tell if the fans are running at 100%" I assume you mean by fan noise. My fans are very quiet; whole system is. Oh well, I guess they are at 100%. Thanks for help.
