Does this expansion seem any scarier than the original to anybody else other than me? I played the original in the early hours of the morning with my headphones on in complete darkness and it gave me chills. Right now I've played for about half an hour and been given the shivers multiple times and I was playing with lights on with my brother watching. Maybe I just became more of a pussy over time. FEAR is the sketchiest game I've played though I reckon. Anyway, enjoying it so far. The original was great and really this is more of the same which suits me just fine.
no its definitely a scarier experience i love it... although i have only played about 30 min of it because of work lol
well id like to play 1280x1024 but fear EP don't support it it only does 1280x800 thats on my CRT at work im yet to play it on my 19" wide screen at home at 1440x900 but im sure it will kick ass like usual man it so rocks to work at a computer store lol
Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\TimeGate Studios\FEARXP Open up the settings file in notepad and edit the width & height. You can set 1280x1024 this way. Just don't go to the performance menu in the in-game options afterwards or it'll reset it back to 640x480. You can adjust all other graphic settings no problem though.
oh and has any one els noticed that disabling soft shadows makes no difference in performance? like you would figure you would gain by disabling it but i only got like 5 fps doing so. meh ill eave it on.
huh? wasn't aware of that lol what one is better? i don't notice a difference on my POS syncmaster 750s at work lmao
http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2005/10/24/fear/2.html I also checked it in F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, but I see no difference
so then its obviously a hardware limitation by the 7 series cards? as seen in Oblivion but hey who needs AA when u got an uber resolution
I got my copy from my work which we had about for a week ( i work in a game store) and so far i have reached Interval 5. Now lets see which person is up to?? Just a little info. Beware of the "Leviathan" level
The only game better than FEAR is FEAR: Extraction point!!! There have been a couple spots where I literally jumped out of my seat because something startled me...it's pretty intense...Hail FEAR!!!
